It's about time i finished another colored piece!Ugh... things are way too busy nowadays.
Anywho... i could use some critiques on this one.
it's the first time i've incorporated rain and although "I" like it, doesn't make it good.

Wow I love this! The background is amazing! The colored street with the b/w buildings... then she just really catches the eye. I like the rain and everything. Just great

Alright, the proportion is fine. Pretty well done. How she's angled and positioned is well done. Still I think the way she holds the rose makes it a bit awkward.
I enjoy how you did the water effect, and the wet effect on her. (Because most people have the tendency to not do well on that.)
The umbrella, dear lord. I can't even do the umbrella. It's not flat, it looks round, and looks like it's covering her. Good job on that.
Lighting, I read some comments. Most people don't understand how or where. But I believe I do. Background excellent. I believe it shows how the lighting is set from the street or pavement color. The back is gray, but the street creates a sense of illusion having color of what the back is suppose to be. Thus reflecting off the her. Lovely.
One thing is her skin. You used black almost to create the shadow of her skin. It really doesn't blend well. That's what's mostly putting off my mood is how the skin was shaded. I really honestly believe. Black should never be used as a shade. (That is just me.) Maybe if you used another dark color that would blend well with the rain and bg. Let's say, I was thinking of dark purple and blue almost.
What saves it, is the strikes of violet and light red.

I adore this picture. My only critique would be the center colors: her hair color, her dress color, and the color of the rose. Her hair, dress, and the rose seem to blend together, and it's just a lot of purple. But of course, that may have been the point. Good job! :]

I really like the color by her legs, indicating that she's outside in the rain and liking it, and I like the blurry black blobs behind her that mean people. The only thing that I don't like is how high her skirt is which makes it look like it's only covering half her butt. Also, the way the fabric looks twisted at her torso, kinda makes me think that she's wearing a bath towel and I kind of have to look for the back of her dress.

So long waiting for the colouring! Beautiful, the reflections of the ground, they give the pic all the main rain effect.
Maybe the umbrella is a bit too much transparent, and the hair shinies are messy. If both it and the skin didn't have so many colours, they'd look more natural.

Really like this, would love to see a desktop wallpaper done with this or a theme similar. Only thing I can think to comment on is that if the rain is going to be moving at such an angle then there should be more motion with either the hair or the clothing. (strong angle for rain = strong wind?)

That's pretty good I'd say, but it's definitely not the best work I've seen from you.
her whole back (and the right part of it) looks a little too wet because of the Umbrella, and I'd say it would've been a bit better if you put more water on the left side of her body (not that I really know how to do that >_>; ) Also, if you consider the angle of the rain and the umbrella, her right hand shouldn't be so wet IMO. Still, for a first attempt at putting rain in, it's really good

I'm not gonna lie, it seems like some of this was kind of lazily done. The shading in the hair feels more like random streaks of color than shading, and the same goes for a lot of the colors you chose to shade her with in the rest of the picture. Some of the details, like the tears and rain, seem too flat--water is transparent, so you should make them slightly lighter than the colors underneath, with some small shadows and highlights, rather than a sort of pale blue-grey. The colors of the reflections on the street are totally random too, since there's no sign of the effects of that light on the buildings in the background. (Also, the lights wouldn't be reflected that brightly; the background seems more well-lit than that.)

It`s really beautiful, the colors astonished me-the colors of the big city ^^ I like the rain,i`m sure it`s a hard work to make it proper, but it`s nice

I remember looking at an In progress one and liking it a lot.
But the colours in this finished version- I dunno they seem a bit more earthy toned or muted than *I* woulda liked
I still love the pose, and the rain is pretty cool, tho.

It is nice. I think she looks a little too wet for being under an umbrella and the amount of rain that you have portrayed. It looks less like a downpour and more like a normal rain but perhaps the downpour has passed? The rose under the hair doesn't really make sense to me since if it was that close it would pretty much be touching her.
Otherwise I like the colour (the rose could pop more) and the anatomy is good. I like the lights reflecting off the road.

this is gorgeous. it's a wonderful first try at incorporating rain. i especially love the store lights being reflected on the streets behind her
but where are the lights from? the stores she's facing? or the ones behind her? because i don't see any lights behind her and it looks like that's where it should be coming from

Her lips are a bit too bright, they attract more attention than her eyes. The bottom of her dress seems a bit too lose, because if clothes wet, they usually stick really close to the body. The rose's color is a bit dull. Maybe you should make it a bit redder?

Love how short the dress is, too cool. The rain looks really good, you can totally tell it is rain, so points there. The one thing I can see is it looks like she is crying, if she is then good, if it is rain it's a bit much.

You know it bugs me when good artist ask for critics. There's always something that can be changed but what do you find wrong with it? I'm just curious.
I did stare at it for some time, the background makes me feel sad, like there's so much going on and you just need to stop and breathe. Maybe it's just me but it's really grabbing my attention. When I look at the girl, I get the sense that she found that flower on the ground and she's feeling like things are going to be okay. except I think her pose would be different if that was the case. I was wondering are the lights on the ground reflecting lights above the building behind her or something in front of her.
