RIGHT????? I can honestly say that I've never read anything better. And I have read a lot... but I've only just started reading Jojo so it'll peobably be very comparable. What chapter are you on???
Isn't the art to die for??? I mean, hardly anything is out of place, and you really have to search to find something weird-- nothing ever stood out to me that was 'odd' or anatomically incorrect. The emotions are all there; Guts even has different angry faces! The monsters are creative and beautifully grotesque; hardly any two are alike... Even the perspective is always on point. Like, Guts' sword always looks huge and amazing!! Don't even get me started on the horses. I haven't ever read anything with horses drawn as perfectly as they are drawn in Berserk. And you know what????? It gets better.
And the story is amazing, all the characters are different and important, it really makes you question your morals and you'll reread it just because of how interesting it is! I just can't with Berserk. It's almost too good.

Totally! I thought Sword of the immortal was like the best stuff, but I have to say that Berserk is my favorite now.
I remember reading the first chapters of Jojo and it was pretty fun, didn't like the art though, but some readers have told me it gets incredibly better and the following arcs are better than the first one (where I left it), I have several artist friends that are in love with Jojo, so I'd say yes, it's worth reading it.
And about the art of berserk... wow, Those inks, the guy know what's he's doing. At first the art was.. ok (having in mind the style is obviously influenced by end of 80's and first years of 90's), several minor mistakes in body composition, but nothing to worry about, still the story was so intense that I didn't mind at all (besides the art in Attack on Titan, the manga, was far worse... if not plain horrible), but the mangaka here was getting incredibly better in very few chapters and you could see he was getting used to an inking style that's some of the best stuff I've ever seen in manga, only comparable to very few of the best occidental comic inkers. And yep, he can make characters like Guts put some different expressions! XD I love his brows and sad eyes, ok, he's hot. XD
The monsters are incredible and plain scary, and it fits perfectly the mood of the story, and everything in general, we don't get to see so many complex backgrounds in manga, and this guy is like drawing every detail in each place, from the creative armors, even on horses to windows decorations. That's right, the horses were on thing he started to make better and better with each chapter.
True, the story.. woah, so dark and the characters.. some of them look like real people in the sense of the moral choices some of them make. Yup. I thaknk you a lot for recommending this read. I'm in love with it. It's been a while since I've found a comic to enjoy and to learn tricks from, specially inking tips.

Yeah the first chapters are really old, but I've seen the new stuff and I know it gets better!
Yeah Miura takes forever to update, but I'll be worth it in the long run... assuming he doesn't die before he finishes it. Ugh.
Yeah there were a lot of little things in the beginning, but honestly they were so very minor in comparison to all of the other elements going on. His work becomes near-perfect in later chapters. The scenes will blow your mind. Like, he must've spent days just doing one or two pages. His demand for detail and precision is unparalleled. Clearly AOT and TG don't compare lol. Vampire Hunter D is comparable to Berserk art-wise, but it's definitely not as good.
I fucking love Guts. He's the only character to ever make me consider saying something like "Guts is my fictional boyfriend" and be completely serious about it. What a precious cinnamon bun. Poor stuggler. His eyes get me every time. How does Miura do it?!
Yeah I was so glad I picked it up too. I think it's supposed to have a new chapter early March or early April at the latest... Hopefully that means that we'll get regular uploads again. secretly waiting for your berserk fan art lol

Don't tell me, it happened to me when reading Trinity Blood, the writer died and we'll never know the final, I don't think the mangaka will go further than the arc he's doing right now (and he's awfully slow too), even if there are some ideas from the notes of the writer of what's supposed to go from there. So.. please Miura.. don't die man.
I'm in the part where Faranese is in a ball and his brother is about to announce her marriage, and whoa, the scenery is incredible, also I loved the witch's house, so pretty.
Yeah, I've read that Gabriel Rodriguez (comic artist from Locke & Key) use one or two days to make a page, depending on the complexity, his work is pretty detailed, for me normally like 3 or 4 hours per page, but mines are VERY simple. So I take this guy, even if he's fast, has to take trice a normal mangaka to finish his work. I know AOT but I don't know TG, which one is? I haven't read Vampire hunter D, only saw the old anime movie.
lol, he's the best and his story/life is so sad, like he never takes the good choices. :S Miura can make a muscular/brute kind of character to look so nice!

Jesus fuck I started watching Trinity Blood because I bought the DVDs for like 10 bucks at a thrift store. I guess that's why they were there. Guess I'll just not watch it now. I can't handle the not knowing man.

Yeah the manga is about the same as the movie. They did a good job recreating it. The character's are so detailed, but the scenery is so so. Zone-00 is the same way. D 1 D 2 Zone Colour 1 Good luck finding the manga scans And Benten figure because damn

No problem with Trinity Blood anime, the arcs you see in the anime are complete and to give some sort of coherent ending they made some changes at the end of the anime, the main difference is Abel and Cain's behaviours, in the anime both are way too serious and they cut some scenes. The manga is finally getting... slooooowly at the end of where the anime left, but is following the novels much better(and more logical too), but the arc is complete. Is the next arcs that aren't done. 
Golden Arc is soo cool and refreshing, but I have to say that conviction was the one that shocked me the most, is absolutely great. And now, I love the new team Guts has(witch, noble guys and that Isidoro kid).
Oh, I started reading Zone-00 (because...same artist of Trinity Blood, meaning beautiful work + monsters), and yup, the art is beautiful but too chaotic. I could barely understand what was going on at the beginning and it was like too erotic for no reason, I don't mind looking at some boobs but I don't like gratuitous fanservice. I'd prefer this artist to work with some writer to help him/her with the stories, meh, maybe I'l retake it when he has more chapters done. Whay do you think of this series?
The guy is so hot, I loved how he looked when he was in half-berserk mode but kind of fused with the little witch, in that battle scene with that old yoga-sorcerer!!

Golden Arc is probably my favourite. I live off of angst and bad news haha. I was going to say that I really liked the conviction arc, but then that raised the question of which arc I didn't care for, to which I must admit that I like all of the arcs. Berserk is too good for this world.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for shit like Zone-00. I like the over sexualized art and I think that the story is genuinely interesting. It is very confusing though; hence my hesitance to try to read it in Japanese. I probably wouldn't understand jack! I honestly wish someone would translate it. I used to be in love with the art when the books were first being released.
I love how Guts looks always. His character design is flawless. Ammmggg
Have you finished reading Berserk? It's supposedly going to start updating again around March 24th!! I don't know how fast the chapter will be translated, but as long as I know it will happen, that's all I need.

yeah, now that you say so, I like all the arcs too, even the new one cause it's refreshing and the turn of events quite something. Actually some colleagues kind of argue a lot about the last one, like not liking it cause it looks "too fluffy/moe" whatever, but the author has managed to make it look like it has sense and all. It doesn't bother me at all... besides... Casca!! We're finally getting somewhere with her situation, I'm craving for her to be normal again, even if it means more pain but I can't stand her not being entirely aware of what's going on around her.
and yeah I finally got to the las chapter!! I'm sooo waiting the update!!
