Description
I love depicting romantic scenes between mythical fantasy beings from different worlds. Here are 2 such creatures hopelessly in love and clinging to what time they can have together. A merman who lives in a small crystal clear lake and a woodland nymph fairy is shown in a sweet yet passionate kiss beneath the bower of an overhanging gnarled branch of a persimmon tree. There is a lush growth of tender young water plants in the background and the so-in-love duo is partially framed by a border of sumptuous exotic lotus plants. I suppose the image speaks for itself ^_^. This was done primarily in watercolor on 140 pound acid-free watercolor paper and lightly accented with metallic inks.
