Hey thanks for sharing this with us, it was enjoyable to read- it reminds me of the Yukon Ho! Story arc from the Calvin &Hobbes comics. The pictures are really great, and your story has a decent start, but what is going on, exactly? Or more so, I feel rather left in the dark after reading this storyboard. Why does the younger kid want to live with apes? Is it because of something like being mistreated at school, or did he recently find out about apes and is so interested in them that he decided he was going to go live with them, or something else?
Β Then the younger boy mentions that the older one is his cousin, and they live together. How did this come to be, and what is happening or did happen to said parents? Did one of them have their parents die and the other one's parents took him in? Or is one or the other temporarily living with the other for other reasons, perhaps parents doing missionary work in Africa, or the parents(or single parent) having a job where they travel often? Perhaps one or both parents are in jail?
The question of what happens to the parents of one of the kids gets slightly answered when the older boy says "Boy, Mom would be soooo proud if she could see you now.", as it implies that this woman has been raising both of the kids for some time, as she is not referred to as "your mom" or "my mom", and the younger boy did not reject the notion of said mom being his mom, nor to her being his cousin's mother.
A pretty well done storyboard, but it leaves me wanting more information, and wanting to know how the story pans out.Β

If the mom was there then maybe it'd go like that video i once saw. A boy was going to run away from home but his mother said he couldnt cross the street yet, he even said 'Mom! How am i supposed to run from home if you wont let me cross the street!' XD

I just made a storyboard for class. We had to, basically, make fairy tale spin off short stories.
I did a spin off of the three little pigs.Β
Storyboarding isn't hard, but understanding storytelling and camera angles, etc, is definitely important to an effective story.
Have you used Toon Boom? I take online classes, so I had to buy it. I love this program, though.
ALSO, did you hear about the Toonz software?Β
If you like Miyazaki films, futurama, and many other animated things, there is now a free to the public version of Toonz software.Β
I watch your animations, and I don't know what software you use, though it's probably an adobe product, but I suggest checking out Toonz.
I haven't downloaded this yet, personally, but I definitely will when I'm less busy...so probably after this storyboarding class.

Was this for your intro to animation class? Looks really similar to the storyboard I had to make for that class. If so, then your storyboard is a lot more detailed than the one I did. Seriously, all I did was set the scene for my story, no dialog, no nothing.Β
