The northernmost state of the Francophone northern prairie, L'Étoile de la Prairie du Nord places the north star against a dark blue sky, above green and white stripes of the land's verdant green and snowy white. One of 5 non-rectangular flags of the 65 States+Federal district, it is an asymmetrical swallowtail joined where the white stripe meets the blue.
