TEST PAGE (6 panels)
Panel 1
Valeros crashes through the gilded window of a medieval tavern, locked in combat with two
goblins (note that Pathfinder goblins look different from typical fantasy goblins, so match the
world style). One of the little monsters clings to his back biting his neck while the other is
partially impaled by his sword and bears the brunt of his shove through the window.
It’s well past midnight so the tavern is almost entirely empty save for the rotund bartender drying
a pint glass with a tea towel. He looks quite surprised at the violent entrance from our fighter.
SFX
KRI---ISH!
GOBLIN 1
(being impaled)
Gluuuur!
VALEROS
Blood and filth!
GOBLIN 2
(biting)
RAAA!
Panel 2
Close up as the goblin on Valeros’ back opens its mouth even wider and prepares for a bigger
bite.
GOBLIN 2
Pale flesh fall for feast, hummie!
Panel 3
Exact same panel size/configuration as panel 2, only now the goblin has one of Merisiel’s
throwing daggers deeply imbedded in the back of its skull.
SFX
THOK!
Panel 4
In the foreground Valeros stands up amongst the dead goblin bodies and wreckage of the
window and furniture. Looking back he (and the reader) can now see Merisiel outside the broken
window smirking slightly at the destruction he caused.
MERISIEL
Was that really necessary, o’ ye burly one?
VALEROS
I’ll bite your neck and see if you react in a controlled and rational
manner.

Close up of Merisiel with one eyebrow quizzically and provocatively raised.
MERISIEL
Is that a promise, Valeros?
Panel 6
The barkeep yells angrily at Valeros. Our hero looks less than impressed.
BARKEEP
HEY! Who is gunna pay fer this ‘ere mess?!
VALEROS
Lives were at stake, chum. We’ll figure out a fair trade in silver.
No need to bellow.
