Heyyy, it's been a while since I did some Dragonstorm related stuff! So I noticed that there was a thing called "MerMay" and I was like: "oh, I guess I wouldn't mind partaking in this challenge."
So I started working on a mermaid design, but midway I decided: "y'know what? I've been thinking of giving Sara a redesign for some time." So, for Sara's redesign, I decided to make her an elf/mermaid hybrid!

I planned to give Sara a white and purple/pink colour scheme for her original design, but I decided against it. Now that I look at it, the white and purple fits her so much better. I wanted to give her a more "graceful" looking appearance, mainly taking inspiration from character designs from RWBY, mainly Blake Belladonna.

Anyways, enough rambling, here's the bio:

The Ilphellis family, which in their language translates to “blossiming flame”, are a long running lineage of elven mages dating long before the Great War. Sara, however, was different from the other members of her elven bloodline. Not only because she is a half-blood, there have been many within the family tree, but because she happened to be half mermaid.

Mermaids in this world are said to be creations of the dragon goddess of love, and wife to Inferatrux, Xeraphina, who molded them in her image. Thus, the mermaids revere her as their creator.

Sara’s mother and father met when mating season approached, where mermaids would rise from the seas, blend into the surface world and seduce any potential males for them to mate with.

The mother, however, had become enamored with her chosen mate, and made the decision to remain on the surface world, with her now beloved elven husband. With elven magic and mermaid blood within her, Sara grew an infatuation of adventure and the wonders of the world, as well as somewhat of an ego at first.

It was during high school where Sara had first met Drake Bryne himself, after hearing all the buzz around him, being, of course, part of the famed Bryne lineage.

Growing curious, she looked into more about the Bryne family, and, by some divine intervention, or just blind luck, she just so happened to come face to face with the young dragon knight. Ironically, Drake himself was looking into Sara after hearing she was part mermaid, since he never actually met a mermaid, let alone an elf/mermaid hybrid, in person up until that point.

As you would expect, the two would eventually grow into a couple.

After some time together, and amazed by Drake's various fighting styles, Sara was reminded of her father’s words, citing that while useful, magic won’t be able to solve every problem.

So for years, Sara was taught in elven sorcery by her father, her mermaid heritage by her mother, and many forms of combat by Drake and his father Benjamin Bryne, whom her father happened to be old comrades with, all while her relationship with Drake continued to bloom. At the age of 23, she eventually joins Drake's vigilante street gang, the Blazing Wings, but things will soon become even more interesting once Drake meets the red dragon named Infernis.
