With the recent, Coronavirus happening, i thought i should bring this to issue - firstly starting with what the virus is? well Coronavirus is part of a family of viruses that cause disease in animals and Mammals including the new virus, also there is a wide range of Zoonotic viruses that bats carry naturally also and they're include Ebola, HIV and Rabies and most of these viruses have made the jump to humans, but most just cause cold-like symptoms. The origin of the source of the virus was first located in Wuhan and the virus actually came from someone eating a boiled bat with still all of it's insides\organs concealed. Now as we know certain species carry the Rabies virus and along with the other s, it's forbidden to eat such animals\mammals, even more so, you should never eat the insides of a boiled bat because even when cooked, the poor bats boiled organs still hold the virus. So now it's spreading to other countries...so i was thinking, what makes a culture feed on such mammals, animals insects? why do they have this disregard for life? i watched for research this Chinese guy, eat a plate full of baby mice, (alive) and as they were squeaking trying to calling for mother most likely, this Chinese person with a vile grin, pick them up, one by one dipped them in a sauce and continued to eat them as they squeaked....why? is this the signs of a normal sane human being? it all feels very macabre to me, how this culture eats anything and everything alive or dead, do you think this coronavirus is natures why or retribution on the human race? what do you think?The Drawing you see was Created for an Artist on DA called Jennifer, it's her Character of a mutant Vampire bat watching over a Dystopic landscape and i was thinking about Jennifer and how she must look at the Chinese in Disgust because she is a lover of Bats and other animals. i would like anyone if you can to just give Jennifer some artistic support because she has been going through some dark times, i ask as a fellow concerned DA artist, to just go and visit her page, i don't know Jennifer personally in real all i know is that we can all help each other on here if we are feeling down or alone. this Art i did for her a long while ago and thought it needs to be uploaded again because it's one of my favourite art pieces and it's a follow on from my previous lonely Drawing. i know many artists are stuck in their own mode but if you do read this message, Jennifer would like some support, www.deviantart.com/black-bacca… it only takes a couple minutes and i don't like sadness or knowing people are alone.

It's all about the bat...or is it the year of the rat? any future where Animal\mammal evolution suddenly Evolved into human like beings wouldn't go down well would it with any future human race still loitering around. i mean, we've been pretty abusive to nature and ourselves haven't we over the many millennia? these beings would have some kind of deep seated grudge, ''boiling bats and then chowing down on them''...anyways what do you think about eating human feet? Chinese seem to be resulting to human flesh - have they gone too far? i mean, what will it be next? Fetus soup? Hand fried rice?, Eyeball with noodles?
I don't know if it has that aesthetic effect on others but having hints of colour seems to be more pleasing for me at the moment instead of saturated colour...who knows eh?...

I wouldn't take advice from the Chinese on any food stuffs, seeing a Chinese market is quite something.
I'm super picky with the meat I eat now so no human feet for me please.

My middle name is Picky....well in actual fact it's Brendan but like you, i'm picky what i eat in general. You know, i find it confusing when they say, ''we are all the same on the inside'', well true to a certain extent but i'm not going to the local field, hunting for mice, catching them, bringing them back, launching them on a plate and then proceed to eat them live with some carrots, onions and a side dish of Grasshoppers. the Chinese would eat the tables and chairs if it was covered in Chinese 5 spice and essence of chicken ..so human is nothing to them...back to my Avocado..

The shading lines, sparing use of colour and the overall design is really nice as always and makes for a nice interesting scene, I like the planets as well, gives a nice mood to the piece! As for the Coronavirus and them particular eating habits you mentioned...egghh it literally made me feel sick even to think about it for a second especially first thing in the morning haha! I have no idea what goes through peoples minds when they do things like this though, I mean its extreme cruelty to life and just because its animals and not humans doesn't make it acceptable. This is the folly and the arrogance of human kind thinking they own the world and can treat the world and its lifeforms as badly as they want, the truth is though that "humans" are animals themselves so the whole thing is baffling how it ended up like this. Hopefully with this coronavirus it will change things and remove the wet markets forever as well as make new laws and regulations for the dealing in animals, you can only hope anyway.
Of course I will do the other thing as well, as a community its always important to help and be nice to others.

This one, as all your other pieces, got me thinkin. The description too. For me, descriptions, and deviations go hand in hand. Hate to see blank descriptions
on a post. Anyways, Making the bat the focal point is brilliant. I didn't know any of this. We've had a moment about this on "Concrete Oblivion" and "Lonely-I'm No Different From You." But this is another one of those emotional pieces. You we'rent kidding when you said you draw what you feel.
What I see here is beyond the piece. Beyond the message. I'm actually seeing behind the canvas. I'm seeing something more. This is difficult to describe but it's got
my mind swimming. this is personal, this is relevant. It's conversational, matter of fact. It's a work of art yet so much more.
Do I even make sense when I try to explain what I see? lol

This is such a great drawing! Subtle colors and so many ways someone can feel when they look at it. I'm just like Jennifer in the since that I believe all life is sacred. I do consume the flesh of animals, such is the way of the world. However i hold the utmost respect for their sacrifice and remember that I too will one day be consumed by something else just trying to survive. I believe that certain laws of nature and a level of dignity and respect for the inhabitants of this world are required to continue a healthy relationship between our existence, as the dominant species, and the circle of life. Breaking these laws, or neglecting to give respect to nature, can very well bring about calamity to our kind. No matter your religion, country, or culture, I feel this to be true.
To Jennifer, and all of those dealing with other problems of their own, you're not alone. Our paths and issues may be different, but I will always offer my support to anyone who needs it. Whether it's just a fav and a comment on your latest deviations, or an ear when you just need someone to listen. I'm here, and I'm sure there are others here as well. DA can be a great community of support if you are willing to let the right people be in your corner.
Back to my DA friend James. I haven't known you long, and not at all in real life. But you have pushed me further than you realize. Both you and TheJetBlackWings especially have made me push last my limits as an artist and want to look at the world through different eyes every time I do. Thank you!

Hey Mitch. well i'm really thankful for your comments, your compliments and your gratification towards the artwork. i try to make the artwork poignant or relevant in some way to a certain subject that we might all connect up too. Everything you speak of has a direct connection not only to the drawing but to me also, Thank you indeed.
I just think as long as all us artist's on here sharing art, images, photo's, communicating and playing more or an active roll in being more human on this platform, just makes DA a little more comfortable and not so empty. and i admire all the artists i follow so lets keep thing rolling along.

I find that Highly illustrated mundane Fanart that we all see on the Daily DA feeds, irritating. DA is heading in to phase of non communication - supposed, ''Professional Artists'' with no intention what so ever or replying or communicating with their followers - i find that pointless and those followers continue to Comment even though there is no sign of the artist to be seen, all these followers are doing is causing more damage that will lead to, 'extinction' in communication like you stated. let's keep it things ticking along Mitch.
