Imagine if you opened up the aperture and then focused on the blade? That would lead an interesting composition.
The blade in Sharp focus with her face in focus just enough. Think of it as like looking down the barrel of a gun.
Imagine the same idea with the edge of a sword?

This sword is only maybe 4 to 6 inches shorter than a claymore (most of it in the hilt length), and it is at least as heavy. You put a 30 pound sword in the hands of a 95 pound model, and you see what she is made of. In this case, muscle and loveliness is apparently the answer.

No, I'm just her photographer. But as you know, I do watch out for any model I've worked with. Professionals who work as a team should always have each other's back, IMHO.

Love this shot. The model is perfect. The eyes are mesmerizing. and the muscular arms makes this near perfect. I would have like to see the same shot with a grimace on her face to compare the two photos.
