For this week's personal project, something simple.
The past few projects (and the one I'm currently doing) have all been relatively more complicated than my average "picture for myself" deal that I usually really enjoy doing. Instead I just intentionally put a fire under my ass and attempted to produce fully coloured illustrations in a limited amount of time. As a result I may be stretching my own capacity thin, so to compensate I'm doing something simple, small and sweet this week.
"Kiki's Delivery Service" is my favourite Studio Ghibli movie. It's just great. And I wanted to draw Yiyi the Cat for who knows how long. So here he is, inside the mug that he points out at Kiki while they're buying the groceries.
