“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH” Sister Sweetie Belle, Battle Sister of the Order of the Vermillion Shroud, was not a happy imperial acolyte. Especially thanks to the foul xenos construct bearing down on her from the left. Her flamer guttered and choked for a sickening instant. Still screaming shrilly at the top of her lungs, the desperate unicorn quickly changed the promethium canister on her flamer. It roared back to life and— still screaming without a pause— she played it across the horrible metallic pony until it lurched back, finally feeling the heat of her holy flame. “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!”
Trooper Scootaloo’s weapon bucked in her hooves as she pelted the advancing guardian with another flurry of las-rounds. Being seconded to the Inquisition had sounded great at the time, but this was easily the ugliest mission she’d ever taken— and for a Cloudsdale Helljumper that was saying something. It wasn’t just the claustrophobic atmosphere of the techno-crypt, either. Sure, the metallic monstrosities weren’t shooting back at her, which was a nice change from dealing with stubborn Diamond Dogs or the voracious Paranids. But they just. Didn’t. Stop! And she didn’t want to find out what happened if one reached her.
Scootaloo shouted in triumph as her target crumpled into a heap, then groaned as it stood shakily and kept coming. Was it moving faster?! Oh buck. The guardsmare shouted over her shoulder, straining to be heard over Sweetie’s screaming and the whirring hum of the princesses-knew-what device that their resident cog-mare was messing with. “Bloom! Hurry up!”
“Ah know, Ah know.” One of Enginseer Apple Bloom’s augmentic eyes flicked up to take in the scene before her while the other remained focussed on her prize. The tomb guardians were close, but she had at least 1.00025 seconds before things got serious. She switched off her audio receptors to blot out Sister Belle’s shrill screaming and concentrated on the task at hand. Was it that lattice juncture? No… Or… Something clicked.
“GOT IT!” The world disappeared in a green flash.

There's been a lot of WarHammer in my life recently, from the original to 40,000. I am starting to seriously get into it. This piece took a bit to work on, mostly regarding the framing and character placement. I did a few sketches before setting down for this one, and in the end I kept feeling we could've added more enemies. Keep that in mind, as a future piece will have that many enemies and even more.
Drawing flamethrowers is a lot of fun. I wonder if we will re-visit these three in the future. Tee. Hee. Hee.

Now I just came here to look at your fanart for "Daring Doubt" and then I see this and see what it is..... On the day the very last Cutie Mark Crusaders episode airs.....
That they got such an epic art piece so close to the end and that I discovered it today, on the day of their very last episode..... This is a miracle, because this is too much for a coincidence right here, so it is a miracle.

Ah, once you get into 40k you never get out. I don't really play anymore but the lore is awesome. I recommend reading the Gaunts Ghosts novels and also watch Emperors Text to Speech Device which is a fan mick-take. I hope you enjoy all that there is on offer.
