Description
Birthday Present I made for my good ol' friend Nick, Heavily inspired by "Deus Ex".To put it in context, here's a narration by Nick himself for what's going on in the scene.
The trap was sprung, but the prey had twisted free of her pursuers' grasp. She knew it had been a ploy to capture or kill her, but the bait was too alluring. It was a simple matter to eviscerate the networked intelligences her enemies had arrayed against her and pick their corpses clean of the knowledge she thirsted after.
Perhaps they had thought she was just an ordinary Equine Personal Service Mech – she certainly looked the part – but they hadn't reckoned on the potency of the brain her master had gifted her with. But powerful as it was, it was tasked to capacity avoiding being ripped apart by the anti-materiel rounds thundering down at her from the single Synth-Killer drone that had evaded her digital massacre, and piecing together the knowledge she'd risked her life to steal.
Thundering down a derelict highway as MechMulcher rounds ripped through the air around her, the picture began to take shape in her mind. Piece by piece, datum by datum until her synaptic processing matrix blazed with revelation; It wasn't just about synthetics. It wasn't even about the murder of her beloved master, powerful though he was. They weren't even trying to take over, they were already in control of everything! She knew then only she alone could topple them.
