I kinda like his Appaloosa color pattern, and his thick legs. I sort of based his design in the big brothers toy line that came out in the 80's. I miss those toys, they were so chunky, solid and satisfying to play with.

I think the "big brothers" toy line was the basis for the designs of the bigger stallions in Friendship is Magic (Big Macintosh, Shining Armor, Fancypants, etc.)
