Sitting along a major road in a highly populated area this abandoned house sits awaiting its future. The ranch style home which was built in 1956 is currently up for redevelopment along with a few of its neighbours. I wasn't able to find any details about the project but I imagine it will be row houses that take its place, meanwhile it sits, being vandalised beyond recognition.

Here are my thoughts about this abandoned mid century time capsule. The owner enjoyed collecting things and was bordering on being a hoarder, he didn't know what to do with everything, so he decided to open a thrift store. There were electronics, books, vinyl, vacuum cleaners and whatever else you could imagine in this home. These items were found everywhere while still having a sense of organization, many of them had price stickers which is why I think it was some sort of a store. Underneath the items for sale was a lot of mid century furniture, decor and architecture which in itself is an exciting find! I am honestly not even sure if the owner of the home actually lived here, I mean there are signs of the kitchen being used but most of the rooms were just full of stuff. Even all of the bedrooms were full of stuff and there were no signs of clothing or even a bed for that matter. This is one of those locations that sticks with you and I find myself thinking about it every once in a while wondering what the entire story is.
