Endless Waltz Pt.2
After ten days, the golden autumn in Hokkaido started to become very beautiful and more colorful while the rain gave a calm and relax sensation... Hokuto really loved to go out when the autumn season became gorgeus. Now, he was free from intravenous needle and bag... he felt happy, so he loved to enjoy this autumn season with his older brother. This morning Meimu cooked a special autumn theme breakfast, he thought about his wife... he was hoping that this time his little brother wouldn't angry with Aramis. Meimu wanted to call his wife to come to their mansion again, he really missed her; her smile and her happy face haunted his mind. Later, Meimu called his little brother to dining room... Hokuto who was sitting on his bed smiled and gladly ran to the dining room. They ate their breakfast and had a small conversation, they were talking about this gorgeous autumn season because Meimu made this special autumn theme breakfast... then, he spoke that he would go back to the airbase because he had to go back to work. After Meimu went to the airbase, Hokuto sat on the sofa in the living room... he started to feel lonely. He thought why he didn't go to work too??? He felt strange, he remembered that he owned a western style international hospital in Hokkaido; he was the head surgeon and his position as the president of the hospital administration was very important and powerful. The memories of his real life came to his mind, and he started to remember that he was the wealthy master doc whose life style was jet set... he also remembered Karen who became his wife. He was wondering why, why did his life become like this? He felt he was living a life like a little child who received money from Meimu that played a father role for him to support his life and his cost of living. He started to shiver as he felt afraid to think about his real life memories, he walked to his bedroom and sat on the bed... he didn't want to think about scary things like that. Then, he wore his oxygen mask and set the flow of the oxygen from the regulator; he took a deep breath through the oxygen mask. He was crying as he curled up to fetal position on the bed, he tried to sleep to forget that scary thoughts... then he fell asleep. While his little brother was sleeping, Meimu summoned his wife... he told Aramis that he was really missing her. They embraced each other and shared a deep kiss, and then they were having fun as a newlywed couple on their honeymoon... they went to a cafe to spend their time together. There, they discussed about an official wedding plan because their wedding ceremony was in a rush and unofficial... he told Aramis again that Hokuto really changed his mind and allowed them to be together. Suddenly, Aramis felt glad! He said, he had a plan for special dinner with her as the part of their official wedding ceremony... it would be like an engagement party. Aramis became very glad and she couldn't hold her tears of happiness! She felt she was floating in the sky as the happiness wrapped her heart, Meimu would take her to a nearby jewelry shop... he wanted to buy her a new engagement ring that she would like to choose because she had wear it for the rest of her life. Few minutes later, Meimu told her that he wanted to go to a jewelry shop with her for their engagement party tonight; Aramis really excited and they went to the nearby jewelry shop.

Meimu and Aramis bought their desired wedding rings for the engagement party, and then they went to a boutique to buy formal evening dress for her and a suit for Hokuto... he told Aramis that wouldn't buy a suit for himself because he already had one fancy suit. After they got what they choose for the engagement party, they went to a restaurant to eat because the lunch time was coming. Meimu told Aramis to bring the meals to his mansion because he wanted Aramis to accompany Hokuto inside their home, he wanted them to have a lunch together because he felt really sure that Hokuto was feeling lonely. He wanted to eat his lunch here, Aramis nodded she left him and brought the lunch meals with her... she summoned her giant wasp robot to take her to Meimu's mansion. Meimu hoped that they could live together, he would spy on them... he ate his ramen quickly and left the restaurant as Aramis arrived in front of his mansion. Aramis knocked the front door, she waited for few minutes; none opened the door. She thought Hokuto was going outside, so she opened the door with the key that Meimu gave to her. Aramis came in and locked the door again, she walked to the living room... Hokuto woked up from his nap, he heard someone's foot steps and he thought it was his older brother that came back home. He felt afraid and frustrated because he dreamed about his real life that he thought before he fell asleep... he seemed like depressed to think about his position as a president and head surgeon of the international hospital in Japan that he owned. He took off his oxygen mask and try to find Meimu, he ran to the living room... unfortunately, he saw Aramis instead of Meimu. He was shocked, but he ran to her to find a comfort... he was shivering in fear and felt really confuse. Hokuto snuggled to Aramis, he was crying desperately; Aramis embraced him, she caressed his head and tried to calm him. Aramis didn't know what happened to him, but she thought he was mentally unstable. She was sure enough that Hokuto was suffering from the pain of his illness... then, she put the bags of clothes that she brought on the sofa and walked to dining room to put the meals on the table that she bought for their lunch. She came back to the living room and carried Hokuto in her arms to his bedroom, she laid him on the bed and put the oxygen mask on his face... she caressed his head to make him calm.

Aramis tried to comfort him, "Take a deep breath... try to take more oxygen... it's okay... just breathe..."

Hokuto couldn't stop to cry and he spoke to her through the oxygen mask, "Kowai... watashi wa kowai..."

Aramis didn't understand what he said, "Hokuto, don't talk... just take a deep breath..."

Hokuto cried loudly in frustration, "Major... MAJOR ARAMIS!!!"

Aramis felt bad about this situation, "It's okay, just take a deep breath... don't scream, just be calm... I will protect you... I promise to protect you... don't worry... you will be okay..."

Hokuto started to get an asthma attack, Aramis felt really bad about this... so, she prepared nebulizer device to deliver the medicine for asthma through the nebulizer oxygen mask. Aramis put the nebulizer oxygen mask on Hokuto's face and she caressed his head to give him comfort. Hokuto didn't understand why Aramis and his older brother who died long ago were living in his house, he thought they were ghosts and haunted his life! Suddenly, he realized the moment where he couldn't hear the heart beat of his older brother, the other odd events, and when his older brother took him to the beautiful lake with his KTM 1190 Adventure the heavy motorbike... finally, he thought that he was living another life in the realm of the dead. Hokuto guessed he was die, but didn't know when he was dead... that was the reason why he lived with his older brother. He found a reason why they were living here, so he tried to calm because now he thought he lived in heaven and this was like the earth or the world he lived before his death. Twenty minutes later, Hokuto relieved from his asthma... he looked at Aramis with soft-loving glance as his gratitude, and after the treatment Aramis turned off the nebulizer machine. She caressed him and offered him to have lunch with her in dining room... Hokuto nodded, he smiled as Aramis took him to the dining room. So, they sat face to face and enjoyed their meals.

Hokuto started a conversation with her, "Major... thank you for the help... I owe you..."

Aramis smiled, "Don't think about it... it's okay... I promise to protect you as I can because of Subaru... I made a promise to him."

Hokuto guessed they were really serious with their love affair, "So that... Major, do you love my older brother so much?"

Aramis blushed and replied, "Yes of course I do love him! I am really glad to know him since he was a young boy... I liked him from the beginning of our times in the academy of Machine Empire..."

Hokuto felt Aramis really fell in love with his older brother, "So, you knew him better than me at the time??? Seemed you really cared about him like you were his closest friend... but little did I know, your close friend was Lieutenant Colonel Hong Long..."

Aramis laughed, "Yeah it was true... Long was my close friend, but I knew Meimu like we ever met thousand years ago... he was good and I liked the way he resisted the bullies from our friends in the academy... he was very unique in every way though."

Hokuto looked at his chopsticks and said, "Sadly, at the time I didn't know him at all... and I didn't realize that he was my blood brother, I just thought he was a brainless idiot and I rather disliked him even though you always brought us together to play a game because he wasn't cool and the dorky ones... I regretted it... and I thought he was the real notorious guy as one of the Seven Evil Demon Generals until I knew his true identity as my older brother... I'm really regret about it."

Aramis thought about their past and spoke to him, "It's okay, it's just about our past memories... don't regret anything that happened in your life because life is a journey and it's not destination... your older brother was very kind, his nature as a kind-hearted boy was attracting me to be his closest friend... but, I felt I didn't know him after several years when we started to be real soldiers of Machine Empire... he became cold, heartless, rude, and ignorant... even, he didn't recognize me... but I fell in love with him... I always tried to make him remember me, although he broke my heart, I still loved him until now."

Hokuto felt disappoint as he heared it and he feared about their relationship would lead to a marriage, "Major... I didn't think that you really fell in love with him... how about Long???"

Aramis looked at her engagement ring that Meimu gave to her, "Long, he just a best friend of mine."

Aramis ate quickly as she didn't want Hokuto to talk about Hong Long, she didn't love Long and she really didn't want to be with Long because her love for Meimu was so stong... she finished her lunch and told Hokuto that tonight Meimu invited them to come to a special dinner where they would have tasty meals. Hokuto just stared at her as she left the dining room, he felt his superior was bothered by his words about Long... so he drank his medicines and finished his lunch too. Aramis walked to the guest room and she took the bags that contaied their clothes for the engagement party, she went to the bedroom where she ever slept there few weeks ago... and Hokuto thought she would sleep there again just like before. Hokuto strarted to feel uneasy, he didn't want his superior to stay in this mansion again... however he couldn't do anything because his older brother gave her the keys of his house and there was no reason for him to evict her. Aramis felt happy to come back into this bedroom, she laid her body on the bed for a while... then she took the clothes out from the bags, she thought it was very nice! Then, she took the clothes that Meimu bought for Hokuto; she went out from the bedroom and tried to find Hokuto. She came close to Hokuto who was sitting on sofa in the living room, she gave him the clothes and told him that he had to wear the clothes for the special dinner because Meimu chose those clothes for him... Hokuto thought the dinner must be a formal occasion because Meimu bought him a suit. Hokuto felt happy because he liked those clothes, he smiled happily as he thought his older brother knew his taste of style... so he asked his superior to let him sleep because he didn't want to be sleepy when he attended the dinner. Aramis led Hokuto to his bedroom and told him to sleep as she put oxygen mask on his face, Hokuto laid on his bed as Aramis set the oxygen flow from the tank... then she caressed his head and left the bedroom after Hokuto closed his eyes. Aramis washed the utensils that they used for their lunch, she felt happy because she thought Hokuto started to trust her. Finally, Meimu relieved because he watched them from faraway as a ghost, he saw them could get along... he took a deep breath and started to prepare the special dinner of their engagement party. After Aramis washed the utensils, she changed her clothes to pajama and laid her body down on the bed; she wanted to sleep too because she thougt what Hokuto said was true, they could get sleepy if they didn't take a nap.

Aramis woke up from her nap at 5 0'clock pm, she went out from her bedroom and knocked the door of Hokuto's bedroom; she tried to wake him up. After few moments, she came in to the bedroom because Hokuto was still sleeping... she caressed his head and woke him up. Hokuto opened his eyes and yawned through his oxygen mask, he saw his superior woke him up; he thought it was Meimu who woked him from the nap. Aramis reminded him about the special dinner, she told him to prepare himself; Hokuto smiled and he told his superior that he would take a bath later, so he asked his superior to take a bath first because he still felt sleepy. Aramis took a warm shower, she felt very glad and rushed herself to finish her shower because she was impatient to attend their engagement party! After the warm shower, she dried her body with towel and started to pamper her body with skin care products... later, she put make-up on her face and wore the formal dress that she bought for the special dinner. Meanwhile, after Hokuto took a bath; he applied deodorant to his underarms and wore his undergarments, then he scattered his favourite perfume to his body and wore the suit. Hokuto combed his long brown hair and looked his face in the mirror, he thought there was nothing wrong and he would be ready in minutes to attend the dinner. Few minutes later, Aramis knocked Hokuto's bedroom door... she would make sure that he was ready to go to the engagement party. Hokuto got out from his bedroom, he smiled at her and told her that he was ready... so they walked to the guest room. Behind the front door, Aramis wore her purple high heels while Hokuto wore his leather shoes... and then they went out from the mansion. Hokuto locked the front door as Aramis summoned Rosemary to bring them to the location of the restaurant where Meimu booked a special engagement party there. When Rosemary came to them, Aramis told her giant wasp robot to open its canopy; then they got into the cockpit and sat on the passenger seats. Rosemary flew to the location where Meimu was waiting for them.

When they arrived infront of the restaurant, sweet jazz music was greeting them... Meimu came close to them and guided them in. When Aramis walked, Hokuto saw a rose was falling to the floor from her body; she didn't aware that the rose was hanging on her dress and then fell to the floor. Few minutes ago while she was sitting on passenger seat of Rosemary, she accidentally sat on a rose that Meimu gave to her. Meimu was amazed with her beauty, and he felt good to smell his little brother's favourite perfume scent... then a master of ceremony welcomed them to come in to the place where the engagement party would be started. Hokuto felt strange as the master of ceremony said this event was the engagement proposal party, he didn't know this was not just a special dinner but the engagement party of his older brother and his superior. Hokuto saw the Seven Evil Demon Generals without Misslim and Salome had a conversation while they were enjoying their tequila drinks... and he just saw a little girl in a blue evening dress just held Quatro's hand. A man in black suit waved his hand to Hokuto, he was Dr. Poe the old friend of him when he was in the academy. Hokuto smiled at him as a butler gave him a glass of tequila, suddenly Meimu asked the butler to give his little brother a glass of mocktail because he couldn't drink alcoholic beverages due to his illness. After Hokuto got his reception drink, he came close to Dr. Poe... they were greeting each other and started to chat. Hokuto felt the environment was good and he loved it, he saw his older brother was chatting with his comrades and subordinates from the JASDF... then, his older brother came to them. Aramis just watched them had a conversation because she rather disliked Demon Generals, she thought they were weirdos... she thought everyone had to be happy because this was their engagement proposal party, so she tried to be friendly to Quatro and the litte girl in a blue dress, Dr. Poe, Sapphire, and Gai the Demon Generals. Sapphire praised Aramis' beauty as a woman, and she felt uneasy because she thought Sapphire was gay and really weird... but she said 'thank you' to him as the host of her own engagement party. The litte girl named Lily who was found out as Quatro's little sister adored Aramis' beautiful evening dress, she smiled and thanked the little girl... Meimu and Hokuto were well to blend-in with them, except Aramis. She just talked to them a bit because she disliked the Demon Generals, she just wanted to talk to young Lily... then, she listened to the music and enjoyed her tequila. She felt Meimu was missing his old friends so much and forgot about her! Later, after they enjoyed the reception drinks; everyone sat on their seats as the special dinner began. Aramis, Hokuto, and Meimu sat together... they started to eat their appetizers. Hokuto turned his head to the left, he wanted to see if Dr. Poe and the other Demon Generals were enjoying the environment... he heared the sweet melody of music accompanied their special dinner. Hokuto didn't think that his older brother would wear his old costume for this dinner, he rather disliked the costume because it reminded him about the incident where he killed his older brother accidentally. When the soups were served after the appetizers, Hokuto strarted to feel discomfort with the environment... he thought this place was filled with some evil and heartless people, especially the Demon Generals and Aramis. But, Hokuto thought Lily deserved a happiness tonight even though he disliked Quatro her older brother as Demon General... Hokuto looked at Lily who sat with her older brother, she was enjoying her creamy chicken soup and looked so happy to eat it because the poverty that she lived while she was living as an orphan made her feeling like a queen tonight. Everyone was feeling good as the blend of flavors of this dinner soup crafted to harmonize with the event’s overarching theme, but Hokuto felt uneasy and rather sad... he was wondering why in the heaven there were lot of evil people. He remembered the incident when he was attacked by Juggler and Salome in the hotel room, and it added more curiosity to his mind about his another life that he lived now in this realm of his own dream... however he just ate the creamy chicken soup. When the salads were served for everyone, Aramis felt impatient and she wanted the master of ceremony to change the event's run-down quickly; she wanted their main goal of this special dinner to be revealed now! Aramis looked at Meimu who tried to comfort his little brother that became sad, Hokuto didn't say anything about his curiosity... so, Aramis tried to calm because she didn't want Hokuto to be shocked to know this wasn't an ordinary special dinner, but their engagement proposal party. Later, the main course served for everyone were chicken cordon bleus... the main course name was a French term. Meimu chose the main course menu to be chicken cordon bleu because he felt strongly the name of his fiance, Aramis was identical with French culture... cordon bleu when translated to English the sentence meant blue ribbon. According to Larousse Gastronomique, the cordon bleu was originally a wide blue ribbon worn by members of the highest order of knighthood, L'Ordre des chevaliers du Saint-Esprit; instituted by Henri III of France in 1578. The term had since been applied to food preparation to a very high standard and by outstanding cooks; the analogy no doubt arose from similarity between sash worn by knights and the blue ribbons of a cook's apron. Meimu didn't know why her parents gave her the name Aramis, it was a masculine name for boys... he thought maybe her parents obsessed with a novel character named René d'Herblay alias Aramis, even though she was born to them as an English descent. However the name suited her tomboy character, and Meimu really loved her just the way she was, nothing more or nothing less... he just fell in love with her. Hokuto felt happy after he ate the main course because it was one of his favourite foods, he really enjoyed the chicken cordon bleu! But, it was just a portion and he couldn't eat one more portion because this was formal occasion. Finally, as the dessert served for everybody; the master of ceremony welcomed Aramis and Meimu to come to the stage as their engagement proposal cake was displayed! Hokuto was shocking to know that this was their engagement proposal party, he started to be angry and sad because this was not a special dinner that he thought just a reunion of his older brother with the Demon Generals. Everyone enjoyed their desserts, and they were watching Meimu proposed Aramis... when Meimu put the new engagement ring on her finger, everbody screamed happily while some whistled as they gave them applaud except Hokuto who was shocked by this event. Later, Meimu and Aramis were cutting their engagement cake... everbody applauded, then Meimu and Aramis fed the cake to each other. The dessert for everyone was the same kind of chocolate cake that Meimu and Aramis ate as their engagement party cake. The guests were served coffee and tea as the party extended the time for them to dance the night away. Everybody started to dance with their sweethearts, and Quatro danced with his little sister... however, Meimu saw his little brother was unhappy. So, Meimu asked his little brother to dance with Aramis, he knew that Hokuto was shocked by this event of their official engagement proposal. Aramis took Hokuto's hand and she began waltzing with him... Sapphire said that Aramis and Hokuto were lovely couple of this waltz dance, and he saw Meimu just stood and watched them. Sapphire didn't have any partner to dance, so he asked Meimu to dance with him... Meimu knew that Sapphire was gay and he ever kissed Teppei, so he laugehd as he remembered how Teppei reacted after he kissed him. But, Meimu took Sapphire's hand and started to dance with him... Sapphire was a real gay man, his clothes and style much like Boy George the vocalist of Culture Club a British pop band. Sapphire adored Meimu's handsome unmasked face, and he wanted to kiss him... but Meimu refused as he didn't want to make Aramis mad because they just announced their engagement status. Sapphire felt the real Meimu was very kind and really set aside his Dark Meimu's personality. Back to his past memories of Subaru who was Meimu at the time, he felt Meimu was cold, heartless, and really confusing... he was falling in love with masked Meimu but he was too far to reach even though he was close to him because Meimu was not a gay. Sapphire always tried to seduce Meimu, but he just gave him a little attention because he understood that a gay man was quite weird in action when it came to revenge for heartache. Meimu didn't give a chance for Sapphire to be in love with him, but he just gave him attention because his true-self was a kind gentle man and he just a friend who offered him a helping hand... no one of Seven Evil Demon Generals wanted to be his friend because he was gay and really obsessed with precious gemstones and glitters of hedonistic life, but Meimu wanted to be his friend because he felt pity to the weird gay man who got no friend. Only Meimu who understood him, that was why he asked Meimu to dance with him.

While Aramis and Hokuto were waltzing, he congratulated his superior, "Congratulations Major... I'm happy for you even though I'm surprised and didn't know that this dinner was your engagement proposal evet."

Aramis smiled, "Thank you... I thought Subaru told you about this..."

Hokuto started to try to make her down, "He didn't tell me anything... by the way, Major... why didn't you invite other Four Spirit Generals to attend this engagement proposal party??? Why only me, the one of Four Spirit Generals who's attending this party?! How about Long, Karen, and Fou??!"

Aramis started to confuse about it because she couldn't tell that this was the realm of dream, and they just could invite the souls of dead people to come to this realm of dream, "Well... Subaru couldn't invite them because Four Spirit Generals and Seven Evil Demon Generals were rivals and couldn't get along... and I'm sure, you really know about it... but, you are the little brother of Subaru even though you are one of Four Spirit Generals."

Hokuto frowned and tried to strike her with his words, "So, that's it??! And you are the close friend of Hong Long, why don't you invite him to come to this party??! How about Karen and Fou??! They are your subordinates, don't you love the man who always stay by your side and really understand about you??! My older brother was always hurting you as notorious Demon Generals... even he didn't care about you, he treated you bad, and he coldly ignored you as a stranger that he didn't know... so, how could you love a man who didn't even care about you?! You know, Long isn't your special friend, but he's your lover, he loves you!!! DON'T YOU KNOW IT?!"

Aramis was shocked by Hokuto's honest words, it resulted Aramis losing her balance during their waltz... she would fall as one of her feet slipped from her high-heeled shoe and fortunately, Hokuto quickly picked her up in time to get them back on track and she could place her foot back inside her high-heeled shoe without her hands, so they could continue their waltz. Aramis looked so confuse as she remembered Long who loved her, she didn't enjoy her waltz with Hokuto... she was speechless as Hokuto smirked. She tried to look at Meimu who was waltzing with Sapphire, soon she felt uneasy as her man dancing with a gay man... she asked Hokuto to stop their waltz dance as she felt jealous to Sapphire. Hokuto felt satisfy to make her feel discomfort and uneasy, so he led his superior back to their table; Hokuto let her sit as he sat on his chair. Aramis couldn't stand to see her husband to dance with a gay man... soon, everybody stopped to dance as the music was stopped to play. Hokuto smirked and enjoyed his tea, he was glad to see Aramis became upset... and then Meimu came to their table and sat. Aramis asked Meimu why he wanted to dance with a weirdo with an angry tone of her voice, Meimu just replied that he didn't have a friend to dance... he told her that he just felt pity. As the master of ceremony gave everyone time to enjoy their coffee and tea, he entertained them with his music performance... and when he finished his song, he invited Meimu and Aramis to come to the stage to sing a song. When they came to the stage and started to sing a song titled "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" by Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack, everyone applauded except Hokuto. Hokuto strarted to feel unhappy again as they dominated the stage as professional singers, he couldn't stand to see their romantic music performance... after the performance, they sat back on their seats as everyone whistled and applauded for their best romantic music performance. Everyone got their chance to sing on the stage, and Dr. Poe excited to sing on the stage! He approached Hokuto and asked him to sing along with him on the stage, Hokuto agreed to sing with him as he didn't want to sit with his older brother and his superior. They stood on the stage and started to sing a song by Wham! The British pop duo titled "Careless Whisper" and Hokuto tried his best to overcome his disappointment about this event. Dr. Poe led the vocals as he knew Hokuto couldn't sing so well, but they were the best duo performers for tonight. Later, after they finished their performance; a young Japanese fighter pilot from Subaru's squadron sang a love song titled "Too Faraway" by Tanimura Shinji. And when the karaoke session for the guests was over, the master of ceremony asked Meimu and Aramis to dance as the praised couple who held this event before the closing of their engagement proposal party. The sweet music of a song titled "When I Need You" by Leo Sayer was accompanying Meimu and Aramis to dance... they were waltzing romantically. Soon, Hokuto felt sad and angry because he was feeling jealous to Aramis who stole his older brother from his life... he became upset and really mad to see them! Finally, Meimu and Aramis ended their waltz as the song was over... the master of ceremony came to them and started to close this engagement party, he asked Aramis and Meimu to kiss each other as the part of closing of this event. Everybody whistled and applauded when they were kissing except Hokuto who felt sad... After they kissed, the master of ceremony thanked the guests for coming to the enagement proposal party of Meimu and Aramis; and then he closed the event. Everyone applauded and started to leave the restaurant; they felt happy to attend their engagement proposal party as dead souls who wanted to live a peaceful life in the afterlife, they really thanked Meimu and Aramis for bringing them here into Hokuto's realm of dream to feel the happiness of their special dinner of engagement party even thought they were dead souls... they felt alive again, especially Lily who was very glad to feel and taste the luxury dinner. Everybody said their goodbye to each other and left the place... before Dr. Poe left the restaurant, he came close to Hokuto and gave him a warm hug as a friend because he saw Hokuto was rather sad. Hokuto smiled as Dr. Poe wished him a good luck and then he left the place... then, Aramis took Hokuto's hand and led him to the exit door as Meimu told them that he would be back to the airbase with his comrades or the JASDF soldiers. Hokuto and Aramis got into the cockpit of Rosemary again and they went back home to the mansion.

This morning Meimu cooked a special autumn theme breakfast, he thought about his wife... he was hoping that this time his little brother wouldn't angry with Aramis. Meimu wanted to call his wife to come to their mansion again, he really missed her; her smile and her happy face haunted his mind. Later, Meimu called his little brother to dining room... Hokuto who was sitting on his bed smiled and gladly ran to the dining room. They ate their breakfast and had a small conversation, they were talking about this gorgeous autumn season because Meimu made this special autumn theme breakfast... then, he spoke that he would go back to the airbase because he had to go back to work. After Meimu went to the airbase, Hokuto sat on the sofa in the living room... he started to feel lonely. He thought why he didn't go to work too??? He felt strange, he remembered that he owned a western style international hospital in Hokkaido; he was the head surgeon and his position as the president of the hospital administration was very important and powerful. The memories of his real life came to his mind, and he started to remember that he was the wealthy master doc whose life style was jet set... he also remembered Karen who became his wife. He was wondering why, why did his life become like this? He felt he was living a life like a little child who received money from Meimu that played a father role for him to support his life and his cost of living. He started to shiver as he felt afraid to think about his real life memories, he walked to his bedroom and sat on the bed... he didn't want to think about scary things like that. Then, he wore his oxygen mask and set the flow of the oxygen from the regulator; he took a deep breath through the oxygen mask. He was crying as he curled up to fetal position on the bed, he tried to sleep to forget that scary thoughts... then he fell asleep. While his little brother was sleeping, Meimu summoned his wife... he told Aramis that he was really missing her. They embraced each other and shared a deep kiss, and then they were having fun as a newlywed couple on their honeymoon... they went to a cafe to spend their time together. There, they discussed about an official wedding plan because their wedding ceremony was in a rush and unofficial... he told Aramis again that Hokuto really changed his mind and allowed them to be together. Suddenly, Aramis felt glad! He said, he had a plan for special dinner with her as the part of their official wedding ceremony... it would be like an engagement party. Aramis became very glad and she couldn't hold her tears of happiness! She felt she was floating in the sky as the happiness wrapped her heart, Meimu would take her to a nearby jewelry shop... he wanted to buy her a new engagement ring that she would like to choose because she had wear it for the rest of her life. Few minutes later, Meimu told her that he wanted to go to a jewelry shop with her for their engagement party tonight; Aramis really excited and they went to the nearby jewelry shop.

Meimu and Aramis bought their desired wedding rings for the engagement party, and then they went to a boutique to buy formal evening dress for her and a suit for Hokuto... he told Aramis that wouldn't buy a suit for himself because he already had one fancy suit. After they got what they choose for the engagement party, they went to a restaurant to eat because the lunch time was coming. Meimu told Aramis to bring the meals to his mansion because he wanted Aramis to accompany Hokuto inside their home, he wanted them to have a lunch together because he felt really sure that Hokuto was feeling lonely. He wanted to eat his lunch here, Aramis nodded she left him and brought the lunch meals with her... she summoned her giant wasp robot to take her to Meimu's mansion. Meimu hoped that they could live together, he would spy on them... he ate his ramen quickly and left the restaurant as Aramis arrived in front of his mansion. Aramis knocked the front door, she waited for few minutes; none opened the door. She thought Hokuto was going outside, so she opened the door with the key that Meimu gave to her. Aramis came in and locked the door again, she walked to the living room... Hokuto woked up from his nap, he heard someone's foot steps and he thought it was his older brother that came back home. He felt afraid and frustrated because he dreamed about his real life that he thought before he fell asleep... he seemed like depressed to think about his position as a president and head surgeon of the international hospital in Japan that he owned. He took off his oxygen mask and try to find Meimu, he ran to the living room... unfortunately, he saw Aramis instead of Meimu. He was shocked, but he ran to her to find a comfort... he was shivering in fear and felt really confuse. Hokuto snuggled to Aramis, he was crying desperately; Aramis embraced him, she caressed his head and tried to calm him. Aramis didn't know what happened to him, but she thought he was mentally unstable. She was sure enough that Hokuto was suffering from the pain of his illness... then, she put the bags of clothes that she brought on the sofa and walked to dining room to put the meals on the table that she bought for their lunch. She came back to the living room and carried Hokuto in her arms to his bedroom, she laid him on the bed and put the oxygen mask on his face... she caressed his head to make him calm.

Aramis tried to comfort him, "Take a deep breath... try to take more oxygen... it's okay... just breathe..."

Hokuto couldn't stop to cry and he spoke to her through the oxygen mask, "Kowai... watashi wa kowai..."

Aramis didn't understand what he said, "Hokuto, don't talk... just take a deep breath..."

Hokuto cried loudly in frustration, "Major... MAJOR ARAMIS!!!"

Aramis felt bad about this situation, "It's okay, just take a deep breath... don't scream, just be calm... I will protect you... I promise to protect you... don't worry... you will be okay..."

Hokuto started to get an asthma attack, Aramis felt really bad about this... so, she prepared nebulizer device to deliver the medicine for asthma through the nebulizer oxygen mask. Aramis put the nebulizer oxygen mask on Hokuto's face and she caressed his head to give him comfort. Hokuto didn't understand why Aramis and his older brother who died long ago were living in his house, he thought they were ghosts and haunted his life! Suddenly, he realized the moment where he couldn't hear the heart beat of his older brother, the other odd events, and when his older brother took him to the beautiful lake with his KTM 1190 Adventure the heavy motorbike... finally, he thought that he was living another life in the realm of the dead. Hokuto guessed he was die, but didn't know when he was dead... that was the reason why he lived with his older brother. He found a reason why they were living here, so he tried to calm because now he thought he lived in heaven and this was like the earth or the world he lived before his death. Twenty minutes later, Hokuto relieved from his asthma... he looked at Aramis with soft-loving glance as his gratitude, and after the treatment Aramis turned off the nebulizer machine. She caressed him and offered him to have lunch with her in dining room... Hokuto nodded, he smiled as Aramis took him to the dining room. So, they sat face to face and enjoyed their meals.

Hokuto started a conversation with her, "Major... thank you for the help... I owe you..."

Aramis smiled, "Don't think about it... it's okay... I promise to protect you as I can because of Subaru... I made a promise to him."

Hokuto guessed they were really serious with their love affair, "So that... Major, do you love my older brother so much?"

Aramis blushed and replied, "Yes of course I do love him! I am really glad to know him since he was a young boy... I liked him from the beginning of our times in the academy of Machine Empire..."

Hokuto felt Aramis really fell in love with his older brother, "So, you knew him better than me at the time??? Seemed you really cared about him like you were his closest friend... but little did I know, your close friend was Lieutenant Colonel Hong Long..."

Aramis laughed, "Yeah it was true... Long was my close friend, but I knew Meimu like we ever met thousand years ago... he was good and I liked the way he resisted the bullies from our friends in the academy... he was very unique in every way though."

Hokuto looked at his chopsticks and said, "Sadly, at the time I didn't know him at all... and I didn't realize that he was my blood brother, I just thought he was a brainless idiot and I rather disliked him even though you always brought us together to play a game because he wasn't cool and the dorky ones... I regretted it... and I thought he was the real notorious guy as one of the Seven Evil Demon Generals until I knew his true identity as my older brother... I'm really regret about it."

Aramis thought about their past and spoke to him, "It's okay, it's just about our past memories... don't regret anything that happened in your life because life is a journey and it's not destination... your older brother was very kind, his nature as a kind-hearted boy was attracting me to be his closest friend... but, I felt I didn't know him after several years when we started to be real soldiers of Machine Empire... he became cold, heartless, rude, and ignorant... even, he didn't recognize me... but I fell in love with him... I always tried to make him remember me, although he broke my heart, I still loved him until now."

Hokuto felt disappoint as he heared it and he feared about their relationship would lead to a marriage, "Major... I didn't think that you really fell in love with him... how about Long???"

Aramis looked at her engagement ring that Meimu gave to her, "Long, he just a best friend of mine."

Aramis ate quickly as she didn't want Hokuto to talk about Hong Long, she didn't love Long and she really didn't want to be with Long because her love for Meimu was so stong... she finished her lunch and told Hokuto that tonight Meimu invited them to come to a special dinner where they would have tasty meals. Hokuto just stared at her as she left the dining room, he felt his superior was bothered by his words about Long... so he drank his medicines and finished his lunch too. Aramis walked to the guest room and she took the bags that contaied their clothes for the engagement party, she went to the bedroom where she ever slept there few weeks ago... and Hokuto thought she would sleep there again just like before. Hokuto strarted to feel uneasy, he didn't want his superior to stay in this mansion again... however he couldn't do anything because his older brother gave her the keys of his house and there was no reason for him to evict her. Aramis felt happy to come back into this bedroom, she laid her body on the bed for a while... then she took the clothes out from the bags, she thought it was very nice! Then, she took the clothes that Meimu bought for Hokuto; she went out from the bedroom and tried to find Hokuto. She came close to Hokuto who was sitting on sofa in the living room, she gave him the clothes and told him that he had to wear the clothes for the special dinner because Meimu chose those clothes for him... Hokuto thought the dinner must be a formal occasion because Meimu bought him a suit. Hokuto felt happy because he liked those clothes, he smiled happily as he thought his older brother knew his taste of style... so he asked his superior to let him sleep because he didn't want to be sleepy when he attended the dinner. Aramis led Hokuto to his bedroom and told him to sleep as she put oxygen mask on his face, Hokuto laid on his bed as Aramis set the oxygen flow from the tank... then she caressed his head and left the bedroom after Hokuto closed his eyes. Aramis washed the utensils that they used for their lunch, she felt happy because she thought Hokuto started to trust her. Finally, Meimu relieved because he watched them from faraway as a ghost, he saw them could get along... he took a deep breath and started to prepare the special dinner of their engagement party. After Aramis washed the utensils, she changed her clothes to pajama and laid her body down on the bed; she wanted to sleep too because she thougt what Hokuto said was true, they could get sleepy if they didn't take a nap.

Aramis woke up from her nap at 5 0'clock pm, she went out from her bedroom and knocked the door of Hokuto's bedroom; she tried to wake him up. After few moments, she came in to the bedroom because Hokuto was still sleeping... she caressed his head and woke him up. Hokuto opened his eyes and yawned through his oxygen mask, he saw his superior woke him up; he thought it was Meimu who woked him from the nap. Aramis reminded him about the special dinner, she told him to prepare himself; Hokuto smiled and he told his superior that he would take a bath later, so he asked his superior to take a bath first because he still felt sleepy. Aramis took a warm shower, she felt very glad and rushed herself to finish her shower because she was impatient to attend their engagement party! After the warm shower, she dried her body with towel and started to pamper her body with skin care products... later, she put make-up on her face and wore the formal dress that she bought for the special dinner. Meanwhile, after Hokuto took a bath; he applied deodorant to his underarms and wore his undergarments, then he scattered his favourite perfume to his body and wore the suit. Hokuto combed his long brown hair and looked his face in the mirror, he thought there was nothing wrong and he would be ready in minutes to attend the dinner. Few minutes later, Aramis knocked Hokuto's bedroom door... she would make sure that he was ready to go to the engagement party. Hokuto got out from his bedroom, he smiled at her and told her that he was ready... so they walked to the guest room. Behind the front door, Aramis wore her purple high heels while Hokuto wore his leather shoes... and then they went out from the mansion. Hokuto locked the front door as Aramis summoned Rosemary to bring them to the location of the restaurant where Meimu booked a special engagement party there. When Rosemary came to them, Aramis told her giant wasp robot to open its canopy; then they got into the cockpit and sat on the passenger seats. Rosemary flew to the location where Meimu was waiting for them.

When they arrived infront of the restaurant, sweet jazz music was greeting them... Meimu came close to them and guided them in. When Aramis walked, Hokuto saw a rose was falling to the floor from her body; she didn't aware that the rose was hanging on her dress and then fell to the floor. Few minutes ago while she was sitting on passenger seat of Rosemary, she accidentally sat on a rose that Meimu gave to her. Meimu was amazed with her beauty, and he felt good to smell his little brother's favourite perfume scent... then a master of ceremony welcomed them to come in to the place where the engagement party would be started. Hokuto felt strange as the master of ceremony said this event was the engagement proposal party, he didn't know this was not just a special dinner but the engagement party of his older brother and his superior. Hokuto saw the Seven Evil Demon Generals without Misslim and Salome had a conversation while they were enjoying their tequila drinks... and he just saw a little girl in a blue evening dress just held Quatro's hand. A man in black suit waved his hand to Hokuto, he was Dr. Poe the old friend of him when he was in the academy. Hokuto smiled at him as a butler gave him a glass of tequila, suddenly Meimu asked the butler to give his little brother a glass of mocktail because he couldn't drink alcoholic beverages due to his illness. After Hokuto got his reception drink, he came close to Dr. Poe... they were greeting each other and started to chat. Hokuto felt the environment was good and he loved it, he saw his older brother was chatting with his comrades and subordinates from the JASDF... then, his older brother came to them. Aramis just watched them had a conversation because she rather disliked Demon Generals, she thought they were weirdos... she thought everyone had to be happy because this was their engagement proposal party, so she tried to be friendly to Quatro and the litte girl in a blue dress, Dr. Poe, Sapphire, and Gai the Demon Generals. Sapphire praised Aramis' beauty as a woman, and she felt uneasy because she thought Sapphire was gay and really weird... but she said 'thank you' to him as the host of her own engagement party. The litte girl named Lily who was found out as Quatro's little sister adored Aramis' beautiful evening dress, she smiled and thanked the little girl... Meimu and Hokuto were well to blend-in with them, except Aramis. She just talked to them a bit because she disliked the Demon Generals, she just wanted to talk to young Lily... then, she listened to the music and enjoyed her tequila. She felt Meimu was missing his old friends so much and forgot about her! Later, after they enjoyed the reception drinks; everyone sat on their seats as the special dinner began. Aramis, Hokuto, and Meimu sat together... they started to eat their appetizers. Hokuto turned his head to the left, he wanted to see if Dr. Poe and the other Demon Generals were enjoying the environment... he heared the sweet melody of music accompanied their special dinner. Hokuto didn't think that his older brother would wear his old costume for this dinner, he rather disliked the costume because it reminded him about the incident where he killed his older brother accidentally. When the soups were served after the appetizers, Hokuto strarted to feel discomfort with the environment... he thought this place was filled with some evil and heartless people, especially the Demon Generals and Aramis. But, Hokuto thought Lily deserved a happiness tonight even though he disliked Quatro her older brother as Demon General... Hokuto looked at Lily who sat with her older brother, she was enjoying her creamy chicken soup and looked so happy to eat it because the poverty that she lived while she was living as an orphan made her feeling like a queen tonight. Everyone was feeling good as the blend of flavors of this dinner soup crafted to harmonize with the event’s overarching theme, but Hokuto felt uneasy and rather sad... he was wondering why in the heaven there were lot of evil people. He remembered the incident when he was attacked by Juggler and Salome in the hotel room, and it added more curiosity to his mind about his another life that he lived now in this realm of his own dream... however he just ate the creamy chicken soup. When the salads were served for everyone, Aramis felt impatient and she wanted the master of ceremony to change the event's run-down quickly; she wanted their main goal of this special dinner to be revealed now! Aramis looked at Meimu who tried to comfort his little brother that became sad, Hokuto didn't say anything about his curiosity... so, Aramis tried to calm because she didn't want Hokuto to be shocked to know this wasn't an ordinary special dinner, but their engagement proposal party. Later, the main course served for everyone were chicken cordon bleus... the main course name was a French term. Meimu chose the main course menu to be chicken cordon bleu because he felt strongly the name of his fiance, Aramis was identical with French culture... cordon bleu when translated to English the sentence meant blue ribbon. According to Larousse Gastronomique, the cordon bleu was originally a wide blue ribbon worn by members of the highest order of knighthood, L'Ordre des chevaliers du Saint-Esprit; instituted by Henri III of France in 1578. The term had since been applied to food preparation to a very high standard and by outstanding cooks; the analogy no doubt arose from similarity between sash worn by knights and the blue ribbons of a cook's apron. Meimu didn't know why her parents gave her the name Aramis, it was a masculine name for boys... he thought maybe her parents obsessed with a novel character named René d'Herblay alias Aramis, even though she was born to them as an English descent. However the name suited her tomboy character, and Meimu really loved her just the way she was, nothing more or nothing less... he just fell in love with her. Hokuto felt happy after he ate the main course because it was one of his favourite foods, he really enjoyed the chicken cordon bleu! But, it was just a portion and he couldn't eat one more portion because this was formal occasion. Finally, as the dessert served for everybody; the master of ceremony welcomed Aramis and Meimu to come to the stage as their engagement proposal cake was displayed! Hokuto was shocking to know that this was their engagement proposal party, he started to be angry and sad because this was not a special dinner that he thought just a reunion of his older brother with the Demon Generals. Everyone enjoyed their desserts, and they were watching Meimu proposed Aramis... when Meimu put the new engagement ring on her finger, everbody screamed happily while some whistled as they gave them applaud except Hokuto who was shocked by this event. Later, Meimu and Aramis were cutting their engagement cake... everbody applauded, then Meimu and Aramis fed the cake to each other. The dessert for everyone was the same kind of chocolate cake that Meimu and Aramis ate as their engagement party cake. The guests were served coffee and tea as the party extended the time for them to dance the night away. Everybody started to dance with their sweethearts, and Quatro danced with his little sister... however, Meimu saw his little brother was unhappy. So, Meimu asked his little brother to dance with Aramis, he knew that Hokuto was shocked by this event of their official engagement proposal. Aramis took Hokuto's hand and she began waltzing with him... Sapphire said that Aramis and Hokuto were lovely couple of this waltz dance, and he saw Meimu just stood and watched them. Sapphire didn't have any partner to dance, so he asked Meimu to dance with him... Meimu knew that Sapphire was gay and he ever kissed Teppei, so he laugehd as he remembered how Teppei reacted after he kissed him. But, Meimu took Sapphire's hand and started to dance with him... Sapphire was a real gay man, his clothes and style much like Boy George the vocalist of Culture Club a British pop band. Sapphire adored Meimu's handsome unmasked face, and he wanted to kiss him... but Meimu refused as he didn't want to make Aramis mad because they just announced their engagement status. Sapphire felt the real Meimu was very kind and really set aside his Dark Meimu's personality. Back to his past memories of Subaru who was Meimu at the time, he felt Meimu was cold, heartless, and really confusing... he was falling in love with masked Meimu but he was too far to reach even though he was close to him because Meimu was not a gay. Sapphire always tried to seduce Meimu, but he just gave him a little attention because he understood that a gay man was quite weird in action when it came to revenge for heartache. Meimu didn't give a chance for Sapphire to be in love with him, but he just gave him attention because his true-self was a kind gentle man and he just a friend who offered him a helping hand... no one of Seven Evil Demon Generals wanted to be his friend because he was gay and really obsessed with precious gemstones and glitters of hedonistic life, but Meimu wanted to be his friend because he felt pity to the weird gay man who got no friend. Only Meimu who understood him, that was why he asked Meimu to dance with him.

While Aramis and Hokuto were waltzing, he congratulated his superior, "Congratulations Major... I'm happy for you even though I'm surprised and didn't know that this dinner was your engagement proposal evet."

Aramis smiled, "Thank you... I thought Subaru told you about this..."

Hokuto started to try to make her down, "He didn't tell me anything... by the way, Major... why didn't you invite other Four Spirit Generals to attend this engagement proposal party??? Why only me, the one of Four Spirit Generals who's attending this party?! How about Long, Karen, and Fou??!"

Aramis started to confuse about it because she couldn't tell that this was the realm of dream, and they just could invite the souls of dead people to come to this realm of dream, "Well... Subaru couldn't invite them because Four Spirit Generals and Seven Evil Demon Generals were rivals and couldn't get along... and I'm sure, you really know about it... but, you are the little brother of Subaru even though you are one of Four Spirit Generals."

Hokuto frowned and tried to strike her with his words, "So, that's it??! And you are the close friend of Hong Long, why don't you invite him to come to this party??! How about Karen and Fou??! They are your subordinates, don't you love the man who always stay by your side and really understand about you??! My older brother was always hurting you as notorious Demon Generals... even he didn't care about you, he treated you bad, and he coldly ignored you as a stranger that he didn't know... so, how could you love a man who didn't even care about you?! You know, Long isn't your special friend, but he's your lover, he loves you!!! DON'T YOU KNOW IT?!"

Aramis was shocked by Hokuto's honest words, it resulted Aramis losing her balance during their waltz... she would fall as one of her feet slipped from her high-heeled shoe and fortunately, Hokuto quickly picked her up in time to get them back on track and she could place her foot back inside her high-heeled shoe without her hands, so they could continue their waltz. Aramis looked so confuse as she remembered Long who loved her, she didn't enjoy her waltz with Hokuto... she was speechless as Hokuto smirked. She tried to look at Meimu who was waltzing with Sapphire, soon she felt uneasy as her man dancing with a gay man... she asked Hokuto to stop their waltz dance as she felt jealous to Sapphire. Hokuto felt satisfy to make her feel discomfort and uneasy, so he led his superior back to their table; Hokuto let her sit as he sat on his chair. Aramis couldn't stand to see her husband to dance with a gay man... soon, everybody stopped to dance as the music was stopped to play. Hokuto smirked and enjoyed his tea, he was glad to see Aramis became upset... and then Meimu came to their table and sat. Aramis asked Meimu why he wanted to dance with a weirdo with an angry tone of her voice, Meimu just replied that he didn't have a friend to dance... he told her that he just felt pity. As the master of ceremony gave everyone time to enjoy their coffee and tea, he entertained them with his music performance... and when he finished his song, he invited Meimu and Aramis to come to the stage to sing a song. When they came to the stage and started to sing a song titled "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" by Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack, everyone applauded except Hokuto. Hokuto strarted to feel unhappy again as they dominated the stage as professional singers, he couldn't stand to see their romantic music performance... after the performance, they sat back on their seats as everyone whistled and applauded for their best romantic music performance. Everyone got their chance to sing on the stage, and Dr. Poe excited to sing on the stage! He approached Hokuto and asked him to sing along with him on the stage, Hokuto agreed to sing with him as he didn't want to sit with his older brother and his superior. They stood on the stage and started to sing a song by Wham! The British pop duo titled "Careless Whisper" and Hokuto tried his best to overcome his disappointment about this event. Dr. Poe led the vocals as he knew Hokuto couldn't sing so well, but they were the best duo performers for tonight. Later, after they finished their performance; a young Japanese fighter pilot from Subaru's squadron sang a love song titled "Too Faraway" by Tanimura Shinji. And when the karaoke session for the guests was over, the master of ceremony asked Meimu and Aramis to dance as the praised couple who held this event before the closing of their engagement proposal party. The sweet music of a song titled "When I Need You" by Leo Sayer was accompanying Meimu and Aramis to dance... they were waltzing romantically. Soon, Hokuto felt sad and angry because he was feeling jealous to Aramis who stole his older brother from his life... he became upset and really mad to see them! Finally, Meimu and Aramis ended their waltz as the song was over... the master of ceremony came to them and started to close this engagement party, he asked Aramis and Meimu to kiss each other as the part of closing of this event. Everybody whistled and applauded when they were kissing except Hokuto who felt sad... After they kissed, the master of ceremony thanked the guests for coming to the enagement proposal party of Meimu and Aramis; and then he closed the event. Everyone applauded and started to leave the restaurant; they felt happy to attend their engagement proposal party as dead souls who wanted to live a peaceful life in the afterlife, they really thanked Meimu and Aramis for bringing them here into Hokuto's realm of dream to feel the happiness of their special dinner of engagement party even thought they were dead souls... they felt alive again, especially Lily who was very glad to feel and taste the luxury dinner. Everybody said their goodbye to each other and left the place... before Dr. Poe left the restaurant, he came close to Hokuto and gave him a warm hug as a friend because he saw Hokuto was rather sad. Hokuto smiled as Dr. Poe wished him a good luck and then he left the place... then, Aramis took Hokuto's hand and led him to the exit door as Meimu told them that he would be back to the airbase with his comrades or the JASDF soldiers. Hokuto and Aramis got into the cockpit of Rosemary again and they went back home to the mansion.
