Description
The five towers perched on their pedestal above the Falzarego Pass in the Italian Dolomites are a sight to behold. The open air war museum there is a stark reminder of the terrible events that took place there during the First World War despite looking so idyllic today. This shot was taken at 6:30am as these was coming up, with a lovely cloud inversion down in the valley. The Lagazuoi and Tofana di Rozes can be seen in the background.
