Description
This started as a study of a painting by Anthony Van Dyck ( I'll post the title when I find it) I got bored half way through and made him into a zombieOil on canvas panel 15" x 20"

james, your reasoning for turning poor (more like... lucky!) Tony into a Zombie sounds all too eerily familiar. The other half and I just laughed our butts off about that as it's a sympton I too am plagued by... "ah just wanna finish this/ this painting is annoying me now... OH LOOK! ZOMBIE! ghraaargh (yes, it NEEDS the sound effect too... )"
Do you make sound effects when you paint? Random I know... but you've probably not been that before or in a while...
You seem like a fun chap, nice to see ya on DA too now.
Take care James!

Fantastic! And a wondeful concept, too - there are too many modern zomies, we need some olde-worlde ones
I wonder how the portrait painter got it to sit still enough to pain the picture without getting his brains eaten

This needs to be a print/poster and it needs to be so immediately!
I am in love with this picture. I can't stop looking at it.
Please please consider doing prints of this...I'd buy one without hesitation.
Awesome work.

Truely a shame you had to watermark your paintings, but at least it'll keep people from plagurizing your artwork. Amazing work as always.

I think he needs to move some of his beard to the top of his head, soon he'll be needing a comb-over.

It's a beautiful painting....it would look perfect in a haunted house! The fact that it's a 'real' painting too is an added bonus!
