Description
Thing is a concept with a mind, a creature that exists for the sole purpose of keeping the state of balance in creation. It exists in a dimension overlapping ours, and within that dimension it is omnipresent. All mortals within creation can interact with it, although it is invisible at first. The more mental and physical pain a being has experienced, the clearer and more visible Thing becomes, eventually being able to exist in view at all times.

Thing’s powers all revolve around the concept of pain, with its own visibility even relying on the beings experiences. The fully visible form of Thing often scares many, as it is identical to its host in physical appearance. It can take away pain, experiencing it for itself and relieving the feeling for the being. Because of this, Thing has the highest immunity for torture in all of creation, able to withstand any amount of it with a relative ease. It is also able to hold memories between the personal iterations of itself, making it as a sort of hive mind.

A deep growling voice may convince many that Thing is an evil force, but it is rather benevolent. An iteration of it exists for each person, and as such it cares much for its many hosts, often taking away the pain for a majority of them. In fact, it taking away pain is essential to the universe not collapsing, as beings would lose their minds with how harmful creation is. Thing, while a slight enigma in creation, is essential to a universe where agony is a constant threat.
