Description

Day 7 of the Saitama Method. Frustration is setting in, but, in a good way. This past week I have learned that the methods I usually go about drawing are in sore need of improvement and that I am going to have to step out of my comfort zone.

So far, drawing from real life has been that first step as I am more used to copying from my favourite artists but I think the change now has to come more from a technique side than a subject matter side of things. So, during this next week of the challenge, I am going to try out different ways of measuring proportions, drawing construction lines, and many other things.

Until I am ready to start a proper art work, gesture drawings and anatomy study will be the name of the game for now as I feel that jumping into drawing stuff I like or want to draw is gonna spur up negative feelings of worthlessness and inadequacy.

Hopefully these new methods will bring about some improvement and change during the period of time which the challenge is set for.
