Thought that I should share my first time bookmaking ^^The sketchbook is small to carry around in my crossbody bag, 4" x 6", with 50lbs drawing paper (cheap but nice enough to take graphite and ink/marker).
I made it from head to toe I cut large papers into small pieces (called signatures) and did some thread-binding to set them together, then attached the stacks to a small, sturdy card stock, which I'd saved from time to time and couldn't remember where I got it LOL (probably in some stuff packagings). I used white acrylic to paint a doily on the cover (my mother loves to do crocheting for leisure so I was inspired by her work) and thought it'd be cute and....girly
For the first page of the sketchbook, I put on some papercraft and text because I always have an anxiety to ruin the first page with ugly sketches (you know the very first impression someone would have if they borrow my sketchbook, open it and wooshh... ) So maybe there should be something nice to cover...all the ugly sketches behind
