Animated version:What is ModGen?
The ModGen Project is an extremely large sprite collaboration originally started by my good friend *CatbeeCache . Its goal is to create sprites of Sonic (or Sonic related) characters in a consistent and accurate style for use in sprite comics, flash animations, fan games, and whatever else a person may want them for. They are created in a 16-bit color pallet and made so that they can be animated. They span all Sonic continuities and promises to offer a staggeringly large selection of characters as it progresses. Anyone is free to use them for any non-commercial purpose. All the members within the collaboration ask is that credit be given to the project.
ModGen is still massively under construction and constantly evolving. They're seeking spriters of moderate to advanced skill who're willing to join the project and help us expand. Check out this page to learn how to contribute!
