Oh wow, that is tremendous. I love this shot. For me the flecks add to rather than detract from the image. But what I really love is the little spots that appear to have some iridescence going on. I'm not sure whether that is an artifact or was there originally, but that doesn't matter, it is interesting and looks great.

Nothing like a good flower macro! I really like the colors, and the detail in th center part of the flower (top left of the shot)...
A wallpaper sized version of this would be cool...

Beautiful macro James! Colors definately ARE bright. I like the cropping here. Splitting the flower into a 1/4 is very good here as too much may be a it too repetitious. The only thing I think I may have done different is to clone out the specks on the yellow petals. It wold give just a bit more of a clean appearance. But as it sits now, it's still a magnificent image. Good Work!
