thanks kat! i always post on my blog, but i just get lazy about updating my DA sometimes. i'll try and keep up better (and dont worry, i havent forgotten about mutant zoo either )

i passed on the darkstalkers comp, because i didn't have a really dynamite idea for a composition... how bout you?

hey mate! I don't really follow people's blogs.. I guess cos I'm lazy and on DA the art comes to me! - that and I never got into blogging myself.
don't worry about the mutant zoo thing.. it's been having a bit of a holiday while I get the club page sorted out, and then we can resume with renewed vigour!
I did a couple of entries for the darkstalkers comp, one pic of Pryon [link] and Jas did a drawing of felicia which I coloured up for him [link]
neither of them won sadly, but Jason's solo entry did so that's cool! really looking forward to seeing the book

i ask because i work at bongo comics (titan licenses our simpsons and futurama stuff)--small world, eh? i know simon a little bit too, back from when he was an editor at titan. he might remember me as the drooling transformers dork who works at bongo... lol...

ah awesome! so do you draw on those titles? I always thought futurama would be an awesome one to work on Small world indeed! I saw Simon just the other week actually at a get together in London. ^-^

i'm on staff, and i draw a lot of the covers for simpsons, bart simpson, as well as futurama. i did help pencil the mini comic that came w/ one of the futurama dvd's... how about you--are you a freelancer or on staff?

most of it's comic work. Classical comics, panini and a few other less-well known types.. - I get the odd design/illustration job through every now and then, but comics is my bread and butter.
Wont' be making SD this year sadly, no money or passport we have a long term plan to get there maybe 2010, but that depends on a project we're pitching for at the moment.

SD is stupidly expensive even if you live *in* california, so i can understand your situation. but make sure to lemme know if you and your beau ever do make it out, it's always nice to meet fellow comic pros.

oh we'll be singing and shouting about it.. - if only cos if we make it (and so, if we complete this project) it'll be the single biggest accomplishment of either of our lives I think. lol still, it's all very pie-in-the-sky atm.. and we'll have to save a shed-load of monies for it.
