Laurel Kent was the 30th-century direct descendant of Superman and had the power of invulnerability. She became a Legion Academy member in the hopes of joining the Legion of Super-Heroes. She first appeared in Superboy #217 (June 1976) and was created by Jim Shooter and Mike Grell.
