This is one of my favourite characters ever, Tetsuo Shima (yeah, Kaneda too). I totally love AKIRAEDIT: revamped!

i mean akira? hard core violent anime about humanity's nack for having curiousity taking over them in the quest for higher power and reaching into the beyond.
i sure did like that movie, one thing though, when tetsuo marches down the street with the hair and the cape and all, doesnt he look like someting out of dragon ball Z?

well when I think in Akira, my mind links me to the comic, not the movie...The movie is really good and the animation outstanding, but its a gift for those Akira fans who loves the comic, but thats my insignificant opinion

you see, i never read mangas, 1) because in Kuwait you cant get them
2) ive always sseen teh movie first...so i dont see a point in reading the manga...unless it's a series lol
but it's not like i dont read comics, i do, but id rather watch a movie

Well I always notice that while watching the movie... the whole fight between Tetsuo and Kaneda has only two words of dialogue and that's the two boys shouting eachother's names.

the comic are 6volumes, its hard to compress that in one film...the movie its a gift for the comic lovers
