More sketches! Some of them are old1) One of the preliminary ideas for this drawing [link] It was too simple, so I did another version.
2) Fast sketch of Nami as a femme fatale
3) The Purple Tentacle; the villain from "The Day of the Tentacle", that awesome computer game from the 90s.
4) Blossom as a ballerina. I did this when I was drawing one of the sketches I posted the last time featuring the PPG as Disney characters.
5) More fanservice: A Maddie Fenton and Catwoman mixed up. I know some of you will love it
6) Another attemp to draw my OC Sabrina. I am not sure what kind of style is this...
7) Sam Manson... Why? I don't know, I was moving the pencil and it appeared
8) Tootie dressed up like her live-action version in the Winter Special. I am not a fan of Tootie and I hate the live-action FOP movies, so I don't know why I drew this
9) An old idea for my Art Jam: Flame Princess as Jessica Rabbit (with Finn as Roger, of course)

Poof is something too stupid to be hated. He's simply a Poochie [link] or a Gazoo [link] A character created with the porpuse of developing new plots. It's one of the signs of decay in a show.
I am glad you like the other sketches You are free to draw my OC when you want ^^

I don't know. I simply think she's annoying.
Anyway, I am not a big fan of FOP yet. I used to like the first seasons, but now I am indifferent about the series.

Yeah that's fair, sadly she didn't get a lot of development. I can only think of 3 episodes where she did get some development. Haven't seen the movies, but seeing a slam about it on Mr. Coat, pretty much does it.
It really goes up and down depending on the writing. Many will tell you the first 3 seasons are the best ones. Season 4 its where it started to slump, more so because Butch was busy with Danny Phantom so the writers were left to do whatever the hell they wanted. Season 5, in my opinion, is the most mean spirited season. It did have a few good episodes (particularly it introduced my fave FOP babe, Princess ManDie XD ) And season 6 is where things started to pick up. Writing...yeah its mixed, but the animation honestly is a lot more colourful and energetic. But give or take, give it a shot when you're motivated ^^

Personally, I think one of the problems with FOP and mainly the rest of Hartman's shows is the inability to develop characters correctly.
Anyway, as I said, I lostmy interest in the series long time ago, sorry ^^U

I think that honestly has to do with the writing, there was a lot of development in the early episodes of FOP (my particular fave is The Boy Who Would Be Queen)Where since Steve Marmel left, most of the writers tend to be more on the hit and miss gags. Doesn't help too that Scott Fellows, who did write good episodes and later bad ones (also responsible for the Live FOP movie) was also responsible for Johnny Test. But I get what you mean. Hell, I still haven't seen much development in Tuff Puppy and the only character I like is Kitty Katswell, for more than one reason of course XD lol.
And no need to apologize at all, I like discussions like this! Helps me get to know my friends more ^^

Precisely, that episode is a good example of what I mean. They had an awesome idea to develop both characters (Trixie and Timmy, but they seemed to forget it in the next episodes. Thanks to that episode we know that Trixie has secret interests and a deeper personality, but it isn't enough to develop her if the writers decide to ignore it. That's the problem: they prefer the hit and miss gags, like you said

HeartlessSlayer In reply to JaviDLuffy [2012-11-27 21:38:38 +0000 UTC]
Its hard to tell if they chose to, or were told to ignore it just meet the deadline to get more episodes in. Which is a real shame cause if you ask me, Trixie has a lot more development compared to Tootie, and I know there are a LOT of fans of Tootie out there. And I do wish we do get more episodes with development. I mostly watch the newer episodes of FOP for the animation and the creativity when its interesting, just the writing I think they can still improve on. If anything, they need development episodes a lot in Tuff Puppy, I mean, I wanna learn more about Kitty and see Dudley grow up for a change XD

all trixie ever did was belittle timmy and at times even outright hurt him. i dont care if she likes comic books. that isnt a deep personality. tootie likes comic books and crimson chin as well, and doesnt need to hide it.
i used to hate trixie fans for that crap too but ive long since realized its like two idiots who have been doing it for years... this guy and commander something or other.

I honestly don't see trixie that way, I mean yeah she treated him like crap, not arguing that, its clearly obvious, but that's just more for writing and plot convenience. But that's your opinion and I got nothing against that.
I just honestly don't get the point about arguing over it. Seriously, I sent that guy a note to explain my points and to keep the argument away from Javi's work cause he doesn't deserve to put up with it in his work when it has nothing to do with him, but...*sighs* with this person its like trying to get a stubborn republican to give a compliment to president Obama. Everybody has their own opinions, why do they take others so seriously?

Killah-Priest In reply to HeartlessSlayer [2012-11-28 18:09:53 +0000 UTC]
if you dont like to argue about it then dont go to artwork of tootie just to say derp a derp trixie is a deeper character. she isnt! plus its extremely rude and you know your just going to bother people. think about it. if you want trixie to be more liked as a character then stepping on one of oddparents most like characters to do so is the worst method you could use.

Hey slow down. First, Tootie isn't the only character in this pic, that's blatantly obvious. 2nd, I only used that episode as an example because it just came to my mind first, and it really had a great moral everyone can take from it and applies for everyone. Not just because its a Trixie episode. You're missing my point. All I keep hearing from you and the other guy is "she's rude, she belittles timmy, she's cruel to him". Again, yes she does, but not always. We were just talking about how the show doesn't have much development as it used to. Besides, I'm not stepping on Tootie, I know she had some moments, but just not much development, in my opinion. Like in birthday wish, oh brother, and my personal fave moment with her, Channel Chasers. And again, we're not saying that Trixie is a deeper character just because of that one episode, we were just talking about how the show doesn't have much development as it used to.

i wont even reply to that wall of text. the way you argue seems to involve a lot of backpedaling.
ill just say this, if you dont like tootie then dont use the first person you see who says that merely arent a fan of her and turn their artwork into a place for you to push whatever headcanon you made up involving trixie and the one episode in the series where she had more than two lines.

"Trixie has a lot more development compared to Tootie"
What the hell cartoon have you been watching? Tootie has had just as much of a role as Trixie; certainly more of one, if the live action movies are factored in.
Christ, I've not been following this show for years, and I can still tell the Trixie shippers are just as bitter and delusional toward Tootie as they always have been.
As for the artist of this, I say nice work, but really, you're better off keeping your opinions of her to yourself, lest you attract the dregs of the FOP fandom like this guy.

HeartlessSlayer In reply to ChokeArtist [2012-11-28 16:07:16 +0000 UTC]
Dude, I've watched the show since it came out and I've been in the FOP fandom a LOT longer than you ever have. It doesn't make me the better person just because I said so, but what I do have is experience. Just because we said that I personally don't like Tootie, doesn't mean I hate her or those who like her. I have friends who really like her and I can see why and am happy for them.
But its comments like YOURS that just makes me slap my head every time because it makes me wonder why I even bother expressing my opinion when all they do is get pissy, claiming that I'm just a "bitter" Trixie shipper. I couldn't give a rats ass who Timmy ends up with, he's a 10 year old for crying out loud. Its like those who try to pair Ash and Misty up fanatically despite their age. I don't care about couples or shipping, AT ALL.
And you leave JaviDLuffy out of this, he's done nothing to you and we were just exchanging viewpoints, he's free to express his opinion like everyone else and you better damn well respect it since you clearly took the time to express your opinion while telling him to keep his to himself, hypocrite. You're free to like Tootie as much as Javi and myself are free to not like Tootie, but be more respectful to those with different opinions, its fans like you that are the REAL dregs of the FOP fandom. If you call yourself a fan, you'd be supportive of other people's opinions even if you don't agree with them, not make hissy fits over trivial matters, especially over a fictional character.

ChokeArtist In reply to HeartlessSlayer [2012-11-28 16:13:44 +0000 UTC]
I'm not going to say I've been in the FOP fandom longer or shorter than you since, unlike you, I have no real evidence to prove such, and more important does not even matter. A person who spends at least a few hours watching this show and acquires cursory knowledge of it knows you are talking out your ass.
Shipper, Trixie fanboy, whatever term you want me to call you, its the same thing. You don't like Tootie, you're here to overrated how developed Trixie is and undermine how developed Tootie is; I've seen your shtick dozens of times before over the years and its quite fucking sad you haven't moved on with your life yet in regards to this show.
I didn't attack the author either. I said his artwork was nice, but he should avoid opinions on touchy characters, as it tends to attract morons like yourself into turning his arts comment box into a veiled Trixie vs Tootie fanboy war.

You're not kidding, my convo with Javi wasn't even about Tootie. Sure its how it started, but we were just mostly talking about the writing in Hartman shows, then this mess happened. I tried to clear it up and take it away, but...well you know what happened there. But believe me when I say I have my reasons, mostly to defend Javi. But some people just don't know when to stop. *shakes head* no idea, but I've had my share of dealing with fanatics. And I do get why people like Tootie and why others don't. I have friends on both sides, but I don't care, everyone has their opinion as do I. Plus me and Javi were just mostly talking about the writing in the Hartman shows all together, barely on Tootie. But then this happened. And I honestly thought this kind of fight honestly died from the fandom all together.
