On a lighter note , I'm shooting everything and anything to get a feel of what I'm meant to do with my skills.A teacher of mine said to me " If you can do the conventional well, then the unconventional is easy." Well I don't know how true this is , but here's my try at glamour photography.
This was shot over the weekend on a prefect day , with perfect friends and the lovely Toya. The aim of the shoot was to show off her lovely legs and her skin for a "Skin care" Ad.

You and the model must feel so proud to have your hard work appreciated by so many eyes and fingers. You say you don't usually do Glamour, that you much rather prefer exploring the human condition. I'm sure you've thought of this contradiction before---> but isn't what you shot here a part of the human condition? The very definition of model screams "copy of what we hold to be the highest in physical human forms"!!!

and another thing, just so that it doesnt sound like i was being harsh just to be harsh, i really love some of you other work, the painted butterfly is amazing, and there are some things in the end of your gallery which havent got that much attention that i like better than this as well.

mmm, sorry, i gotta be the black sheep. The contrast on this is pretty blown out, whoever said it looked natural, please fix your eyes. the hair is not only windblown, it looks like shes standing ina tornado, or wearing a mohawk war headress of some kind. but, i still like it honestly. technically its not perfect but it is a pretty photo, i wouldnt say its a great glamour photo but it is a good photo.

Hahah .. i love black sheeps. Thanks for the comment and the truth . The truth when spoken with love is powerful . Its not a technially great photo ,but i just love the feeling .. and yeah i with my other photo got the DD instead of this one .. but heck .. any publicity is good publicty i guess ..

Very nice work! Don't know if I see it quite working in a skin care add though, mainly because it's black and white and the shadowing is so heavy - with the eye blacked out like that and the ocean so dark it actually makes this shot slightly sinister, least it does for me. I get the feeling that something horrid is going to happen, or that perhaps behind the serenity of the shot there is a hollowness. Anyway, all this would be wiped away if it had bright clean colours so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Anyway as I've already suggested, there's a beautiful serenity, dynamism and sense of joy (even if somewhat overshadowed vis-Γ -vis the moody black and white) in this shot - the hair flicking in the wind, the outstretched relaxed limbs, the tilt on the ocean and the texture in the rock she is lying on which to me is reminiscent of champagne bubbles (a brilliant, if perhaps unintended addition).
Only thing Iβd say in criticism would be the framing, the figure seems to be perhaps too central in the composition. I think it could do with a tighter crop on the right closer up to her flaying hair. As it is currently though that open area on the right seems to be somewhat distracting, preventing me from following the modelβs gaze out across the ocean on the left - and hence reducing my involvement in the shot and intimacy with the model.

I would have to agree with you about the tonal range .. however .. i just love heaps of contrast in my pictures.. Its just represents me and my own sense of contradiction in my life/ personality.

Her metallic skin, the way her hair whips up, and the wonderful rough contrast texture of the rock. Very sharp and spiffy, with a very cool pose!

i love the dark diagonal line the water makes. without it i think you'd lose a lot out of this photograph. it also helps that your model is totally hot

she's definetly got good skin for the project. it feels like it's got a slightly wide-angle thing going for it with the foot being so much foreground and slightly out of proportion from the rest of the body. it definetly feels like a commercial... though i think that the comparison of the skin against the background might be a bit grey. what i mean is that the setting has more contrast than she does which is slightly distracting... overall it is a well done picture though....
