Description
Not truely the final version of this pic...I'd love more input before finishing.Quite possibly the least common of any of Midden's natural species, only two Churorrokins have ever been discovered. One was found near the exact center of the Green Sea, within the massive Basuko Tree, which is qrowing within a enormous crater caused by an asteroid that impacted Midden near the dawn of time (a very long time ago). The Basuko Tree is over two miles tall, and it's canopy and fundred-foot-thick limbs extend over a vast amount of the Green Sea. It can be see n from space, and is the single largest living organism known to exist (other than Fungal Planet Inhab Grey, but that's another story for another time). The Churorrokin tree growing within the Basuko has it's roots so deeply intertwined with the structure of the Tree that Midden's scientists believe it to be over one million years old. This has also lead many to believe that Churorrokins are immortal, and that their fruit can grant eternal life, or at least extreme super-powers. Acting on this insight, Midden moved to protect the Churorrokin tree, with a sophisticated system of drones and patrol squads, but they quickly found that the Basuko Tree had methods of defending itself that rivaled even the might of Midden's military machine.
The Basuko is inhabited by a form of large insect commonly known as the Ganru. They are sedan-sized venemous insects, which moderately resemble the Earth's Yellow Jacket bee. They can travel at hundreds of miles per hour, for a lenthy period of time. They not only live in hives of hundreds, but they communicate with other hives to react to threats and retaliate to attacks. It seemed as if there were always one or two of them within sight of the Churorrokin tree, and if she seemed even a miniscule amount wary of her visitors, the Ganru would move in. The Churorrokins seem to be able to understand Vulpesant and Venrock language perfectly fine, but have no audiable way of communicating back. They often use hand motions and signals to communicate, and as was found out by a team of academy students visiting the Basuko on year, they are excellent artists, depicting events from hundreds of years back.
The second Churorrokin was discovered after the coming of Bright White, a drifting white giant star that passes close to the Midden star system once every one hundred and twenty two years. She was found in the Vulpesant Veldt, an area of lake-country in Vulpeant territory's northern tip. A group of Vulpesant and Venrock revellers had headed into the area for a better view of Bright White, when they stumbled across the Churorrokin in a small rocky oasis. They spent the day and following night there, as the massive star rolled through the night sky, a plasma trail billions of miles long following it. The then rushed back to Cajan, the nearest port city, and called in their discovery to the local scientific community. Everyone came to see the exciting find, young Verdee Mendolev was in attendance, and even Grand Lord Xob made an appearance, but as more people arrived to see her, it began to rain, in a kind of once-in-a-lifetime storm, rain coming down for hours upon hours, and days after days. Lighting blew apart shelters and tents that had been set up, and massive gusts of wind tossed generators and lighting towers like matchsticks. The people quickly wised up to the fact that the Churorrokin wasn't enjoying the publicity, and quickly fled the area. The storm died down rapidly, as the people receeded.
She is often visited by students and the curious alike, as her location is much more accesable than the deepest depths of the Green Sea, but no more than five individuals are allowed to see her per day, as they would hate to see another news crew carried off by a lighting-filled tornado again.

Yeah, that would be pretty cool, but she would have had to have been planted several thousand years ago, because they grow extremely slowly.

Go ahead!
I'm sure she'd enjoy that, as long as it's a non-threatening non-sexual non-inuendo hug.

Interesting, groovy in the extreme. Imagine how different your concept of time would be if you were always rooted in the ground, supposedly alone for a million years.

Well, she would be far from alone, she would have plenty of aminals and insects and even other plants to commune with, but i'm sure a century would go by like a day.

You have such a creative mind. I feel I am faving your work more on the amazing descriptions then the pictures themselves. No offence to your artwork, it is awsome too. Just that, it's more like an illistrated story than anything else. Ya know?
