Why is everyone making such a fuss about it? I get it, but logically he could still get out easily because:
If he can still make space bridges, then he just has to follow the autobots and wait until they make a new one and out he comes;
And he can still send messages to the outside, sending a message via phone seems primitive to Cybertronian, so he can still communicate to others.
In fact right now, Soundwave might be the most dangerous of all: he can see and hear anything everyone does, he can copy and send messages and information from the Shadowzone to the outside. He could steal secrets and plans and send them to the enemy at will, essentially he's become the ultimate spy.

no you don't get it because logically if soundwave could get himself out then he would've appeared again in that episode and the whole thing would have ended differently, I'm sure.
Besides that's not the point of the fanart, which is more emotional and the fact that Soundwave WAS helpless to affect the events that occurred, forced to take the passive observational role when for once he would have preferred to take action.

actually, he cannot get out, as he needs to have the coordinants exactly (and the Autobots have that). He cannot interface with computers in the Shadowzone, as his particales are moving too fast. He cannot speak to anyone, and he cannot 'text' anyone, as Cybertronians do not have phones that you can text from and to. Soundwave is now the Ultimate observer, unable to interact with anyone or anything.

Who says he can't interface with computers? He might not have tried it, but it doesn't mean it's not possible. He can receive communications from light years away in space and time (like episode one when he received a message from Megatron to start the space bridge) but he can't overcome a simple barrier that a simple cell phone can accomplish?
In the episode "ShadowZone" I didn't see the kid's or anyone's particle being too fast, they could still see and hear everything happen in real time.
Soundwave could hear messages, and even steal them from phones or other forms of communications and even hack human systems which essentially rely on the same technology. Why couldn't he make a simple phone call or send a message? He is the most advanced systems in the world and yet he can't do such a simple thing?
Also, are you forgetting that Raf wrote a program virus for Ratchet on the field which he could transforms into cybertronian code which he passed on to Soundwave? That's perfect proof that cybertronians can receive text messages and communications at least without depending on outside computers.

Thanks for the praise. Yes, Soundwave is also one of my favorite characters if not my favorite, so I hope you understand why I felt the need to protect his honor as the best of the best in the Decepticon ranks and that I firmly believe that had it been anyone else, I would have thought the same, but if anyone can overcome this obstacle or at least turn it into a strength, it's Soundwave.

While I support the Autobots, I was sad when Soundwave was pulled into the shadowzone because he's my favorite 'Con. Hopefully, he'll find a way out.

This is the reason why they did it, because he was so well liked and powerful, they couldn't have chosen one autobot to take him down, they had to end him in a way where you think "Okay, they were really lucky..."
