I haven't kept up with Naruto ever since I was incapable of finding the episodes since Shippuden 95.. I know itachi died because Sasuke "killed" him (Itachi was sick, and it sorta seemed like he WANTED to die by his brother's hand), but I'm not quite sure about Itachi being blind. Can you clarify for a stupid person like me, please?

lol, no worries. I tried and failed to keep up with the anime and now only read the manga. And honestly i sort of don't have the time or patience for all the Uchiha drama, but you've pretty much got the gist of it. The bit about him going blind - the mangekyo sharingan apparently damages the eyes to the point where overtime, the user will go blind.
