Oh this is lovely! I especially find this shade of red delicious for the garment. I am particularly fond of the coat's tailing, or simply the longer flow it has in the back than the front ( I am not sure if there is a specific term, but it would be fine for anyone to enlighten me on the specifics of the garment's terms- love learning those greatly-) It is only a little sad for me not seeing the entire length of the garb in the photo, but it still looks like a good peice. (though I wonder-is it more of a pinkish red in the image or red all together? I like the red you've colored it here from a more personal point, but I digress)
All in all a lovely work, from both your friend and your capturing it in your art.
