Right o...still not satisfied with it. Drawing-wise, I think this is the weakest of all my drawing pieces.
Coloring job is killing me right now. Again, I'm having trouble bringing background and foreground together. But I figured I should submit it now since I won't be able to submit anything for another week or so...(going back to work...) When I get back, I'll probably change the tone of color for their clothes. 
Dunno...Hm, while I was coloring it, the kid's gender kept changing. lol, sometimes it looked girly sometimes it looked boyish. Coloring a child's face certainly is different. *sighs* Well, at least now I know how to do a child's face next time.
God this kid's eyes are HUGE. XD;;Well...ya'll can probably figure out whose mom it is. But I think it could pass off for anyone's kid. 'Takes after the father mostly...
In my head when I first sketched this, I am not sure what I was aiming for. I think I wanted to give Gaara a daughter, but upon completion, I saw that it could be a boy, which appealed to me somewhat. Gaara having a pretty boy son.
I can see Temari being all over him and considering him her fave nephew (or only nephew since at this time I don't see Kankuro with kids...) XDAnyhoo, I figured to draw that kid as a little tyke.
He's a little different in my doujin, his hair is short like Gaara's. But I had imagined him to be a sweetie very much like the way Gaara was as a little kid, (before he was betrayed I mean.
). Kinda shy, thoughtful, naive and a little scaredy-cat. The kind ya just wanna hug. Wait, okay yeah, that's his description in my doujin. Before I thought up the doujin, he was a cheerful hyper little tyke. The reason Gaara's holding onto his legs is to stop him from kicking about excitedly.
He's pretty much adorable. The way I think Gaara might've turned out if he had a normal childhood. O_o; Not that we'll be seeing him anytime soon though. Oo; I doubt I'll get that far...
Still, one can dream I guess. I re-designed Gaara's kazekage clothes if anyone's wondering. I know what it really looks like, I just felt like playing around with it. Not too happy with it, but I did learn a few new things...XD; The kid's outfit is a mix of...Gaara's childhood outfit with...I dunno.
The scarf just felt natural...Gray and navy blue seemed to suit him some. Took me a few moments to decide what to dress him. But I can see Temari dressing him in colors similar to Kazekage's clothes. The EYES were the toughest to do. The background was a little annoying, but once i got it done, I didn't touch it much again. But I had to keep retouching and fixing the eyes and the skin color. Mostly because I wanted to do them as similar as possible to the anime.
Not easy, considering everything had ended up looking realistic and well...pupil-less eyes are NOT.Hope ya guys like for now! ^^

Ah... This is the cutest and most hearty drawing I've seen in ages. I felt so happy up utill the end of your artist's comment, where my thought turned out to be true 
And coloring is great as well... Truely... It doesn't seem to look like you had any problems at all... Just as good as usual, I think (and usually it's really good)... I have problems with coloring right now as well... And... It's really killing me too...

It's still kinda messy right now, but since the image is so small, ya can't tell most of the time.

Yes I read your name debate post today XD I reeeeeally suck at names myself. They're usually the last things I come up with. I mean, I've left hamsters nameless for weeks because I couldn't think of anything D:
Aiko is a cute name. Even though, yeah the "ko" is always for a girl's name. And I think "taro" is always for a boy's name...I dunno n_n;;; I could see it being a nickname though. Something mommy always calls him. CUTE~! n 3n And I like the idea of him having a name that has to do with love, but like...the opposite of what Gaara's name means.
Of course, it's the artist's job to be analytical of their own work. But you could probably keep touching it up forever XD As it is now, it's beautiful n 3n

Your coloring process is awesome to see in steps. XD Coolness. I liked the warm colors; I'm generally more drawn to reds and browns and warm yellows to begin with, and the contrast with the little boy's cool-colored eyes is really nice.
I'm probably gonna quit pestering you now, before it stops being praise and starts being suck-upage. XD I'd hate to ruin the last few correspondances by becoming a nuisance.

I agree with that latter sentiment; it's one thing for people to be all, "Oh wow, yu drah Naruto chara guuud!" It's another entirely for fans to comment on the actual techniques applied.
