something im gonna use in an animation later, (hard to explain) 
so ya, basically looked up
all the robots/almost robots I could think of or heard of, around 40 something, spent like half a day on photoshop
i don't even like some of them 
,-
I know master chief, tron, samus, ed and ironnman aren't robots is just thought they looked the part.

If I would have another chance (sorry for the previous mistake) I would point that a pair of quite famous and classic tripulated combat robots (you already got one of the EVAs of Evangelion, so I think this is a right category of robot): Mazinger Z and his improved version Great Mazinger

Larry, Rodney, Robot Boy, Gir, R2D2, Bender, Metal Sonic, and the Robot Chicken are all AWESOME!!! Although, if you ask me you should have put Fender in there. I'm sorry, but you CANNOT have Rodney without Fender...Just saying...

Excuse me, but Edward Elric, Samus Aran, and Iron Man are not robots, edward Elric has a metal arm, and Samus and Iron Man are people with metal suits that make them liik like robots

Ironman (top center (Tony Stark)), just below him, Awsome-o (Cartman in disguise), and below him, one of the "electronic beings" from that god-awful movie "Tron."

hey tron was a good movie and he is a robot/program so kinda the same? and tony stark is in his iron man suit,his iron man suit is a robot and same thing in cartman robot box suit,still robot.just my opinon not trying to argue just trying to see if i can change your mind on the idea?

You missed Tom Servo, Crow T Robot, and Gypsy from Mystery Science theater 3000. Those robots were awesome!
Also since when did Guardian from Kingdom Hearts count as a robot? It's an animated suit of armor; kinda like Alfons from Full Metal Alchemist.
And Samus Aran isn't a robot; and neither is Master Chief. They're both humans in mechanized suits.
Sorry to point all these out; but there are a few characters on here that don't qualify as robots.
