When i get the game, which won't be for a good while since i'm flat broke and saving up for a 3DSXL "sadface", i'm gonna go Chespin and Squirtle. Chespin because of it's final form and Squirtle because i've always wanted a Blastoise and fighting through the entirety of Heart gold, although fun, is one hell of an ordeal with very little payoff. THERE IS NOTHING TO DO ONCE YOU BEAT RED! Except grinding the elite four until you hit level 100 and can star to consider going online without expecting to get your ass beat by someone with a whole team of EV trained shinies with perfect nature's, egg moves, tutor moves, tm's and ungodly powerfull items! What was i talking about again? Cute picture buddy

I chose Fennekin and Bulbasaur, because everyone else was picking the other two new starters and because Bulbasaur was my very first starter when I played Pokemon Blue
Well after you beat the storyline in most games there's not much else to do than train your pokes and play online o:

From what i've heard Froakie is forgotten by most people and Chespin is the second most picked but Fennekin, it seems, was picked most commonly because people wanted to know if it was going to be fire/fighting so they could whine about the typing and still say they like the pokΓ©mon. And you're right, i should be thankfull that Gold and silver where the biggest games in terms of scale until their remakes, even though the region is so small you'd swear humanity had grown two feet taller during those last three years. I do have to say one thing about Gen 6 though, I WANT A CHESNAUGHT!
