Heres the 3rd! version of Inner Demon. Now this time I feel like im done with it. lol. I added the timeline to show the process from the sketch in 2003..to the finished version in 09. The regular process shows the build up of the guy in pain...I really felt like it was incomplete..so I worked some more shading in the face. Then I thought the old demon looked kind of weak,so I gave him a new look. Theres also a clean version which I like too (call it a PG13 version lol) After that theres just comparisons of the demon...before and after clean version and blood.
other process will be in scraps.
This is my most popular picturemain reason why I wanted to redo it right. Now I must find those who faved the original and let them know..HE'S BACK!

TOTALLY! It gives great inspiration! And even though the deamon is 'evil' i still say he's just so cute! Or that could just be the girl in me. (aka I'm more tomboy then girly-girl)

Yeah kindda makes you wish you were that Chinese mummy in Mummy 3. That way you could run and be like Oh Shit! Grab your face throw it at them and haul ass faster! Haha

Wonderful job. I love how you updated the demon to be more menacing and have translucent skin. The blood also has a very nice effect on him now. The shading on the humans skin is very nice as well.
The only thing I prefer on the old one is the sharp lines of the sketch. It made it feel more raw, more gritty and surreal. There are still lines here, but it feels a little more blurred.

aw thanks! yea i do prefer the rough gritty-ness of the lines...i tried to keep some of it.and at the same time make it different.

I would just like to point out 2 little things I've noticed... It seems both the demon's right ear and right elbow which supposedly pushes the face's skin out from the inside, is kinda too short to do that... Unless of course the right arm and ear is longer than the left one, which would be ok cuz it's a demon

yea..i hear what your saying...I actually was drawing an entirely new version but it didnt live up to this image.
but in that version the demon had smaller ears.BUT i was missing alot of that skin streching that made this piece look so painful.u kno. Perhaps I could edit the other ear to be bigger.

Or you could really leave it as it is, you know it doesn't ruin the pic or anything I only noticed it because I was staring at the damn thing for 5 mins to check out the details
