Flag of the Arab Federation. In the Arab Federation, kings, sultans, and emirs still exist but have limited power. The 11 stars symbolize the 11 states of the Arab Federation, the UAE, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Palestine. The flag used to have 12 stars before Lebanon decided to leave. The one star symbolizes the nation as a whole.
