I got in contact with him and he kindly gave me permission to make a drawing of Sam.
I met Sam thanks to hope you don't get jealous of me depicting her...
About the drawing itself, I twisted a little Kim's lines to adapt them to the style of "Day By Day". And Sam... I'm surprised of myself for having drawn her very close to the original, using a little reference from the comic. Yes, it's a simple drawing, but in its simplicity there are some rules to get a Sam at the end, and not some other redhead looking like Sam...

Love it man! Now you see why I love drawing her....KP on the other hand, I have yet to really attempt. Been very tempted lately, but the right motivation has never struck me.

Yeah, likewise. I use to be a "centerist"....not quite "left" or "right" as it it relates to all things politics. Over the years (compounded by too many years of working for federal, state, and local government) the overly-critical pessimist has come out in me.
