Peppermint Butler is the only character who can travel to the land of the dead and back, because apparantly he knows Death personally and has some sorta deal with him. He also wants to have Finn and Jake's flesh for some reason. Dunno which episode, but it was pretty dark and creepy.

Sure, but I don't think some vague weirdness is enough to make him "The Bad", he's never been an antagonist.
