A blow-up of an icon I made for the roleplaying character of my friend, Bob. I just did it based on his description in Mazaika , our new LiveJournal roleplaying community. I'll probably do one of my own character soon.

I really can't say that I can draw realistically, and even in my style (Bob wanted it to be CAR -esque), it's hard to keep things serious, detailed and good-looking. But the proportions aren't that bad, the clothing isn't too bland, and the coloring/shading isn't the worst I've ever done. I'm always so hesitant about shading, though... I just don't know how they do it so well. Please don't hurt me because of the background - keep in mind that it's an icon, and with 100x100 images, the generic Photoshop clouds/lighting works quite well.

Drawn in Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Professional, on a Wacom Intuos tablet. Shaded/rendered in Adobe Photoshop 7.
