FINALLY, I FINISHED AURORA!!! This is by far my favorite out of all the ones I've done so far. It's a little darker than the others but I still like it. Originally, when I started drawing these Twisted Princesses, Aurora was going to be my last one, but since so many people seem to like them, I have 5 more princesses planned and then after that, who knows.Related content

My story for Aurora:
The events of the film played out. However, two years after their marriage, The King called a kingdom-wide council that everyone attended. In the middle of discussions, the doors burst open, and a cloaked figure entered. Upon removal of the cloak, everyone gasped in sheer terror, as Maleficent revealed herself. It turned out that when Philip impaled her with his sword, her physical body disintegrated, but her spirit was sent to Hell. Maleficent had been given a second chance, by the forces of Hell, to kill the Princess, but this time, it was to be done immeditately. So, she cast a powerful spell that inflicted a fast-acting disease on the people. Everyone dropped dead in minutes. Philip, however, held on long enough to tell Aurora he loved her, then died. However, just as her life gave out, Aurora shot up, her eyes burning with great sorrow and rage. Maleficent was speechless. Aurora then explained that when the witch had cast her original curse upon baby Aurora, she had unintentionally recieved a sliver of the witch's power, which had slowly grown over her years in isolation. This granted her immunity to all magical forms, even those of the Devil. Aurora then reduced the witch to a puddle of water, which she then burned away. Unable to bear the sight of the dead bodies of her people and loved ones, she fled into the forest.
Weeks later, the Fairy Godmothers returned to find the kingdom deserted, and set off to find Aurora. They searched all day, until night fell. Then, they heard a noise, and a bright beam of light shot out and they were reduced to brightly-colored moths in a glass case, strapped to the belt of a ragged cloak. It turns out that when she fled, Aurora had sewn her eyes shut to cut off the horrible images of the dead. In her blind state, Aurora had pricked her thumb on the remenants of Maleficent's forest of thorns. The forest animals offered her their help. She accepted, then quickly reduced all but the owl, to ash. She infused him with dark magic, which corrupted him and reduced him to a subserivent state. So, from then on, Aurora lived in the old cottage that she had lived in 17 years ago, going out every do often to stalk travelers to the kingdom. Soon, tales began to rise of the Witch of the Forest, with whose eyes forever closed as if in eternal slumber.
And so, the Sleeping Beauty has become the Twisted Beauty. Keep your eyes open (no pun intended) for more of my stories on the origins of the Twisted Princesses.

i love it. the fairies in her lantern, and the cape from the prince. now the owl really is the "prince" she "ends up with" very good! i love it. and the sewing and stitches add a creepier effect to it too. WONDERFUL!

The prince that was looking for her died due to the evil witch. But, when he did die, some how he killed the witch with him. Since the prince was Aurora's true love, she can never experience true love's kiss. Even though she should never wake up, the witch had bestowed one last curse before she died. She would forever roam in the forest. When Aurora awoke,she had a feeling nothing was right, she wandered the forest for days. The forest was filled with needles (Oh gosh, I forgot what she cut her finger on) and on the first day, she cut herself were she got pricked for the curse, and it would not stop bleeding. She wrapped her hand in bandages, but even though, the blood leaked through. As she wandered, she got cut even more, eventually she didn't care. She got tired of her surroundings, deciding it was no

I have a few ideas...
~ Maybe someone sewed her eyes shut so she could never wake up
~But she managed to wake up, and she captured the faeries to help lead her through the forest
~I have never seen the disney film, but maybe the owl killed whoever the baddie is, and got bandages for her arm, to try and heal the spinning needle cut on her finger
~But she never met her prince (?) so the cut never healed, and she is blind forever, because everyone who she meets is scared and runs away, and won't try to get the stitches from her eyes out.

Iv'e Thought of another backstory, The prince was too late and Meleficant defeated him, then his mind was transferred into the owl that was wearing his coat, and Aurora walked with her eyes shut for eternity, and they both joined each other's side... hope you liked it!!! Because I love your work!!

I've been reading over your stories behind your princesses. Your artwork is stunning, and I myself seem to take darker turns in my art, however my art is with words. Suffice it to say, I was kind of let down that Aurora doesn't have a story. If you would like, I'd be more than happy to cook something up for her. Everything failed, and so she died, and then became rag-doll of sorts. Cool. You seem to have a strange liking to making people rag-dolls.
But then again, I grew up on Disturbed, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Grim-Dark. I have nothing to say. Oh, and also Tim Burton. I love all your Twisted Princess stuff. Pretty awesome.
