FINALLY, I FINISHED AURORA!!! This is by far my favorite out of all the ones I've done so far. It's a little darker than the others but I still like it. Originally, when I started drawing these Twisted Princesses, Aurora was going to be my last one, but since so many people seem to like them, I have 5 more princesses planned and then after that, who knows.Related content

Are you going to write a back story to this one like you did in your later pics? I ask cause I'm curious about why her eyes are sowed shut. I must say, I do like you dark versions of the princesses, they're the perfect balance of creepy and morbid without making it too dawn of the dead.

Oh, the three fairies locked up... Is it weird that I'm only amused by that? Great job, though I'd really love to read a story idea for Aurora (Sleeping Beauty's my favourite tale). The stories, I think, have become a big part of this twisted series. x)

For the other Twisted Princess, you wrote a backround story, why they are twisted...why is there no story for Aurora?
I'am interested, because i want to cosplay her.

It's probably because this is an earlier princess. The artist hadn't started with the backstory thing yet.

Maybe the prince didn't make it to her and she slept a hundred years like in the fairytale and woke up after everyone had died of old age or something? o.o

My favorite too. it's sort of more...melancholy than the others,you know? Like she's more likely to commit suicide and less to go on a killing spree. -hang on a sec, does she have her three godmothers in a jar on her belt?

When the mighty fighting scene between the prince and the evil sorceress dragon, the wicked lady gobbled the prince up. Aurora's sub-conscious mind knew that something was wrong so her body started to stir. She forced her eyes open and saw the Sorceress staring back at her. Angry that her lover is died she tried to attack the evil women, she didn't get far. The sorceress, knowing that Aurora can't fall for her spell with her heart broken, held her down and sewn her eyes shut. "There, now you HAVE to sleep... FOREVER!" She announced with a sneer and left her tied to her bed, sad and broken. Her fairy god mothers flew though the window, seeing the damage that has happened, they were about to send her to her lover when she stop them. "Please fairy godmother's give me the power to end the evil witches rain of doom." Aurora begged. "But, if we do that your soul will rot away!" One of them pleaded. "I don't care, she killed my prince, destroyed my kingdom, and took away my sight, Revenge must be filled!" She said with disgust stinging her words. They knew that wouldn't win so they gave her, her wish. Setting their spells together to give her, the power to do the deed. Aurora, dizzy with strength pulled the binding the bound her to her bed apart. Their she stood able to sense everything around her. She sang, not in her soft and sweet way, but in a loud inhuman screech. Her once friendly animal friends approached by her side. She gave a wicked smile, all the animals blood thirsty, and willing to do her biding." Her you'll need this." One of the godmothers said, handing her a small empty lantern. " Soon we'll be like your animals, and you'll need our powers for your revenge." With that said, they all popped into the lantern. Aurora faced the door, feeling her once kind nature drowned in her feeling of hatred. She gave another wicked smile as she escaped from the door... to face her enemy.

Um...So that's what I think when I see this picture, and since there's no back story I thought I would type it, to see what you guys think. Sorry for grammar, or inaccurate story plot from the movie, Haven't seen it in a while. It's ok if you want to think of something else but that's what I think happened.

Did you know that this is the official picture for Grimmification on TvTropes? Very well done... I was really freaked out by the way she almost seemed to be decaying, and the dtitched over her eyes were GENIUS. It's like a different kind of sleep, and the three fairies are trapped in a lantern probably because Aurora's looking for a light...

unless the owl is an evil overlord and caught the fairies to ensure she dead an then he gets a zombie slave.....but then there must be a twist with the sewn eyelid part.........she saw somehting she shouldn't have?.....

i love your twisted princess collection, but I wondering what's the little story behind it. I know you have littles stories that go along with them (e.g. Tangled and Frog Princess), but what are the stories for Aurora, Jasmine, etc. I'm curious to know?
