Description
So this is my first artwork using actual coloured lineart without some fancy lighting layer added over the whole artwork.I felt a wave of nostalgia through me when I finished this piece - the style is reminiscent of the illustrations in some of my childhood picture storybooks :')
One thing I absolutely dislike about using coloured lineart though, is that Scarlett's fingers of her right hand/wing aren't very visible from afar once the shading was applied. :U
Oh and I decided to shade this using the watercolour brush because I wanted to try something new instead of my usual cel-shading for when it comes to my OCs.
Edit: I just realised that I like drawing Scarlett at this angle
Scarlett the Macaw, 'Big Swan' comics (C) JemiDove (me).

Really liking the coloured lines and soft shading, Jemi. ^ ^
You could always use colours darker than the shadows for the lines. c:

This style is better than the black lineart~~
I had that problem when I first tried using coloured lineart too. You can try to use a darker colour for her hand. It'll be better... I think /w\
I'm not sure because I have never tried to use thick coloured lineart (Β΄γ»Ογ»`)
