I got some drawing charcoal for Christmas (which I've been wanting to try out ever since then), and I found some bright green paper yesterday when I was looking through my art supplies; there's only one way that was ever going to end, and that's with this
As much as I still obviously love Peridot now, a part of me kinda misses how she used to be, which is one reason why I did this. It's also sort-of a companion piece to the last Peridot drawing I did (this one: jenhedgehog.deviantart.com/art… ), hence the similarity in pose. I was actually going to draaw something like this on the same page as that last one, but I didn't leave myself enough space on the paper
This was a quick sketch, but it turned out quite nicely I guess, considering I've never used charcoal before! I didn't find it particularly easy to work with, but I still enjoyed it.
I plan on doing more of these in the near future, of different characters on different coloured paper
