gouache is like watercolor only better. with goauche, you can put it on almost like acrylic, thickly if you want and it covers up lines under the paint. With watercolor no matter how many layers you put down, it is still pretty much see through. So you can get the heaviness of acrylic or water it down and use it just like watercolor. It's kind of the best of both worlds. i honestly don't even use watercolor anymore

Can you get it out of clothes? That's what I like about watercolors, but acrylics are a better quality, but I end up having blobs of white paint all over my clothes! Thanks for filling me in; I will totally be getting some!

ummm good question...i tend to stay pretty clean with gouache...i mean, i guess if you are wearing a white tshirt and you get some blue paint on it it might not entirely come out. maybe i need to experiment lol
