I automatially love anyone who recognizes this guy.And for those of you who don't recognize him this is Pretorius, the mad scientist (or "chaos theorist" as he refers to himself) in Edge City from the cartoon The Mask the Animated Series.
Quite possibly my most favorite fictional character ever. There's just something about an evil villian who made it so his head is detachable and can walk around seperatly from his body on little metal spider legs that's so irrisistable. (that or I just have weird taste in men) Either way this guy just screams "awesome".
A common misconception about Pretorius is that his body is fully robotic. It's not. He's just a cyborg. You can tell his body is still real flesh and blood because he still feels pain. (as seen in the episode "Mutany of the Bounty Hunters") And then there was that one time (in "Bride of Pretorius") when he wanted to find a wife so he could wipe out the rest of humanity and restart the human race himself. Can't do THAT without a "real" body now, could he?
But anyways, favorite character from my favorite cartoon Mask the Animated Series. I figured it was about time I posted something for it.

Pretorius (c) Film Roman? New Line Cinema? Or maybe Dark Horse comics. Not sure exactly who owns this guy.

Ah this guy was great I remember the episode where The Mask got a Cold and he decided to make a Cold Monster out of it by capturing Peggy and draining the virus out of her nose.... What a weird episode that was also the way he kept saying Stanley's last name as well... Ipkiss ^_^

Its only one of the few that I actually remember other than the one where he fights that weird blue kid from another dimension and another where The Mask becomes the Ghosts of Christmas and goes through Pretorius' life

I remember this guy from that Mask cartoon...but I don't remember what his motive was. XD

In his first appearance he told Stanley that he wanted to analyze The Mask in order to try and replicate it's powers and create an "invincible fighting force". He also likes to justify his motives as being in the pursuit of science.

He was the evil genius type. I liked how he stood out not as the stereotype who wanted to "take over the world", but instead he had to be stopped because his experiments (like using nuclear warheads as a flash to take pictures of distant planets) would endanger humanity.

I remember seeing this guy somewhere when I was a good deal younger. Awesome character design that looks even more amazing in your style. Also, good to see more from ya, Jen.
