Description
This is the first drawing I ever did of Makenzie. That yellow fuzzy thing is her hamster, Frank, who was eventually edited out when I realized that having Mak talk to a human instead of a hamster would move the story along much better, and stuck in Matt. Also, drawing hamsters is more difficult than it looks, and irritated me to no end.

She's changed a bit, most noticeably in that she's gotten fatter, stopped drawing those lines under her eyes (sometimes. Yes, that's intended to be makeup, not cute anime stylingz!11), mostly stopped wearing black lipstick (when I learned how to draw lips), and lost the tattoo.

The outlines are black because I was far from website/photoshop-savvy, and I knew that the easiest way to make the pictures blend in with the background on the website (which was black) was to make the background in said pictures the same color. It worked well enough.

Watercolor pencils and gel pen, if I remember correctly.
