Okay, have you ever gotten the horrible Disc Read Error? Can you no longer play DVD movies? Did you looked up other numerous PS2 cleaning tutorials with no avail? Has ONLY cleaning the laser lens did not work? Then you have a big problem: Dust!

Yes, besides the lens, there is also a mirror underneath these lens. When dust clutters it up, it interferes the lasers thus making it difficult read complex disks like God of War or any dvd movies.

Luckily, this new diagnosis is discovered by a guy named Butrock on youtube [link]

Unfortunately, not everyone has a non-ancient computer to watch youtube, so I made this crappy tutorial specifically or this one troubled person.

After trying it out myself, my old PS2 is reborn!! Hope it helps

DISCLAIMERS:

You must have knowledge of safely opening your PS2 prior to this "tutorial".

A can of compressed air is completely required.

When unscrewing your PS2, be sure to put tape on the areas that uses the longer screws as a reminder.

When opening the PS2, be sure t be aware of the ribbon attached at the right side. Don't break that.
