Jer: The fourth time my friend Andrea modeled for me, done as a promotional piece for a showing at D’vine Design. The title comes from a lyric in a Counting Crows song, the little girl is Andrea’s daughter, Delaney, and the other images are just cobwebs left over from whatever book I was reading or re-reading at the time.

Amy: My treasured ‘Blanket of Stars” poster… Yet another piece of memorabilia that I pilfered from the years that I was out of favor with the man. (Or was he out of favor with me? I’m not sure either of us could tell you why we were at odds.) (Oh, I could think of a few reasons…-Jer
I think I was working the day of this show, so I didn’t get to see it. One day shows are just a bad idea. I loved the painting so much that I kept a copy of the poster through moving house many times. I remember showing my little collection of bits of his art to Jerry one night – like some sort of contraband.
I was worried that he would be displeased that I had a little hoard going. He was pretty non-reactive at the time, and to this day I still don’t know how he feels about my obsession with his work.

Jer: Well, as far as obsessions go, it’s a relatively benign one. Until you factor in that it was one of the main reasons Amy pitched the move to Seattle to me. I may never understand it. Sometimes I think I come close in thinking that maybe it’s about the way I see. The way I saw her, in particular. The mirror I presented.
