This one was done out of my frustration at having missed a Sarah McLachlan concert. Not because we didn’t have tickets, but because we couldn’t find the fucking venue! Nobody in Cleveland could tell us how to get to Cleveland Music Hall, not even Ticketmaster or the cops we stopped to ask. It turned out to have been walking distance from the Ticketmaster! To no avail, we were not destined to see this show. To this day I blame our bad karma on the girl that my friend Paul was dating at the time who decided to come with us…
I ended up at home, cranking up my CDs and jamming all night and most of the next day on this painting. I remember nodding off, waking up, nodding off, and waking to work several times on this one.
The wrought iron came out particularly well.
