Eagle is the common name given to different species of large predatory birds or birds of prey, related to the family Accipitridae or accipitriformes, formerly called falconiformes, them are the most powerful birds known, capable of taking flight with heavy prey between their claws and endowed with an extremely sharp view that allows them to detect their prey from a distance. Although these are animals of various genres and there is no consensus classification among specialists, in general when we talk about eagles we refer to large birds, with sharp and strong claws and beaks, robust constitution and predatory habits.
Eagles can vary in size and constitution depending on the species, but them are usually large birds, fierce behavior and solid body, capable of taking flight quickly from any point.
Their heads are large and with their strong beaks them can tear raw flesh from their prey. A good-sized eagle can weigh about 7 or 8 kg or more and measure about 95 cm in height. In all species, however, the female is larger than the male.
Eagles can be found on any of the five continents, except Antarctica, adapted very well to the climatic and biotic conditions of each region. Because most species inhabit Europe, Asia and Africa, with only 3 of them in Australia, 2 in North America and 9 in the rest of America.
